The only SJW stuff in the show is the race swap and change but those actors but thats it. The rest is pure witcher. Feminist might say it is a good thing there is so many women in the show but understand that Geralt is the MC and those women are there for him to bang like this was a cheap porno.
Also keep in mind that the game take place after the book series END. The Netflix series is base on the books, so if there ever come a point where Witcher is finish, you can play the game if you want to experience more Witcher.

Just finished the entire season.
I’m damn impressed. I’ve played The Witcher 3, haven’t read the books, but I must say Netflix outdid itself on this one.

Jk. I'm 5 episodes in now but this has to be the most expensive project has ever done right? I mean it looks fantastic with high quality CGI and looks to have been shot in quite a few different places.

The timeline thing was a non-issue for me, and it was fairly straight forward to figure out. That could be because I binged it all at once though haha.

I don’t care that they casted a black Fringilla, I care that she looks like a dog though. Every sorceress in this show, no matter ethnicity needs to be an absolute smoke show.

Cavill as Geralt becomes an instant classic stoic antihero. There really was a lot to like in The Witcher, but I think it suffered from having only 8 episodes. That limitation is probably what lead to it being a hot mess with the unclear, shifting timelines. They do leave you wanting more though. I hope future seasons get more episodes.

I really enjoyed it. I would have liked more Geralt and less Ciri but that's just me being picky. I played W3 but this had me wanting to pick up the books. Recommendations on which to start with?

This shite is incredibly badass. I think the show goes too full on fantasy for it to have received a great critical response; but I find the weirdness very refreshing. The Witcher writers embraced the fantasy elements, as opposed to the GoT writers getting rid of them as quickly as possible to appease "your average viewer."
This show is not GoT, and it doesn't need to be. I hope they stay the course and not let the critical reviews make them stray from the weird shite. Big fan so far.
