I liked the first two episodes. The last two felt a bit like a chore to get through. But since it only has two left, I'll finish it.
Great cast and the writing isn't awful but it's like being on a treadmill when you need to get somewhere.
HBO programming has gone downhill big time. And it isn't just the last year or two, so covid can't be blamed for all of it.
Succession is great, other than that, I can't think of anything I've liked much in several years. The Third Day was pretty good, but no one but me seems to have even heard of it.
The New Pope was okay, I didn't like Mare of Eastown, or the Nevers. Then other shows start off great and finish very badly, the Outsider, Big Little Lies, Sharp Objects, and the Undoing are great examples.

I loved Mare and Nevers.
No complaints about Undoing or Sharp Objects. I liked both for what they were.
BLL was an amazing first season but the second season was completely unnecessary and kinda ruined everything I loved about the ending of the first season.

Looks like a lot of people don’t like it, but I can’t look away and I’m really enjoying it. It’s just something off the beaten path and not a cookie cutter show that we've seen recently.

You’ve never met the following types of people?
Spoiled college-aged girls who already think they’ve got the whole world figured out and that their unoriginal ideas are new and progressive.
Disconnected wealthy people who think they’re worldly and relatable.
A drug addict who falls off the wagon.
Mostly hard-working hotel staff who have to put up with demanding, self-absorbed guests.
I think it’s fantastic satire.

Good points. As a dad with a teenage daughter in suburbia, every time I go to PTA events or school functions I see these families

When you pay that much to stay at a resort like that, you spend a ton of time at the resort. The entire point of these type places is to offer anything you need or want.

I didn't like this episode as much as the previous two, but still solid. Armand didn't have much to do, and he's really the most entertaining character to me.

I had met all these people before leaving college.
You can tell some people have never worked in restaurants or customer service.
All these characters actually exist. Even in Louisiana.
Even think about your boy. Is he truly oppressed? Is he stealing because hes hungry? Hurting people that didnt directly hurt him? No.
This is exactly how people are.

I didnt even think ab that. I thought he did it to just leave the situation.
The last scene with them, i still want to frick you, tells me hes old snd been there. They both have quirks but are on vacation alone. Why not frick?
And he hasnt interacted with any of the other characters unless i missed something.

I think he’s certainly sick and him extending his trip might be him just trying to enjoy something before he dies.
With that said, him dying would be anticlimactic. He’s not a main character and I don’t think that a guest dying who had some terminal illness would make enough news that it spread throughout the island so quickly that those people in the airport heard about it.

Yeah this is where I’m at. Obviously part of the reason she came up with that plan was to help Kai, but I think even more so she wanted to stick it to the family. But now:
-someone actually got hurt
-they’ll have decent description of him (male, fit build, staff member) and who knows if anyone else has seen him and Paula together
-he’s now picked up some extra criminal charges
Still think Armond off the deep end is possible. This has been a bad week for him and he’s F’d at the White Louts:
-he had to comp the most expensive suite in the hotel due to his error
-there has been a robbery and assault involving a staff member. Stuff like that spreads like wildfire on trip advisor and other sites hotels depend on
-he’s been drinking on the premise. Does not matter if his shift is done. No high end resort is going to be ok with an employee much less the manager getting hammered in the bar or sitting at a table drinking bourbon during dinner hours. Another staff member could certainly have snitched on that or a guest could complain

I think it's Plops mother, Armond probably tries to kill Plop for getting him fired and the mother gets in the way. If it was his wife then his mommy would have been at the airport with him.
