It's their choice. I'm really not opposed to the idea of a bitten person taking out as many zombies as they can. That would be the ultimate self sacrafice.

personally if one of those thing bit me and I knew i was going to turn in a day or two I would strap a bomb to myself get in the middle of as many of those bastards as possible and KABOOM!!!! Take out as many as I can.

Entire writing staff let go!

Apparently darabonts gonna use freelancers for the next season. I guess he knows what he's doing.... But this is just weird.

Sorry, that entire scene was great. It included pain and emotion. On top of that it showed a zombie just waking up, looking confused at first, and then becoming more aggressive as it became aware of what it wanted to do.

hopefully Kirkman doesn't try to do all the writing. I love the comic and his ideas, but some (if not most) of his dialogue makes me cringe. Some scenes are so akward

He needs to bring in some quality people. That last episode sucked donkey balls...$100 says Kirkman was working on the 4th episode in the city and tent chaos. That was phenomenal. All the ones before that either I couldn't complain about.

Last week sucked entirely. So much out of character moments LSUZom was a fan of the sister scene bc it showed the change but they could have cut that scene in 1/4...the talking about it scene, old man sage, last fleeting moments, then her waking up...way way too much crap focused on one duo that's only been around for two episodes

i liked the scene also, it was just a bit drawn out for my tastes. It was interesting to see her wake up, kinda like seeing the world for the first time through dead eyes, so to speak.

It was a bit drawn out only because it eats up too much air time within our 1 hour alloted slot.

I remember several of you arguing about the filming locations and how they couldn't have been in Atlanta. Check these out.

quarry

entrance to alley

merle's rooftop

tank street

Haven't kept up with this thread, but I really enjoyed this last episode. Like all of the others it was pretty awesome. It's also cool to see new story arcs that aren't included in the comic (CDC). I'm really excited to see what the next episode has in store.

I doubt it. Most likely goes to the stomach and is broken down by the virus and used as energy.

But if they did could you imagine the smell. Don't think a courtesy flush would help.

Did anyone watch the preview for episode 6 on AMC.com?

I'm not sure if I want to know the how down to the scientific level. I guess it makes sense because they are at the CDC with a scientist but I kind of don't want to know yet. Let's see more struggle with other gangs first. Oh well.

I just saw this on Gawker:

Entire Walking Dead Writing Staff Fired

What's more, I hear Darabont is looking to forgo having a writing staff for the second season of Walking Dead altogether and assign scripts to freelancers.

I can't lie. I don't know if this is good or bad. I do know that I like the show so a shakeup like that scares me but the writing definitely has room for improvement so I guess I'll just trust Darabont not to screw it up.

ETA: Nevermind. Apparently Darabont and freelance writers wrote 4 of the 6 episodes so the writing staff didn't do much anyway.

SIAP, i'm not reading the whole thread . . .

Does anybody think that maybe Merle was responsible for the Zombies attacking in Ep 4? Merle took the truck and he could have easily lured a bunch of zombies into the back and sealed off the cab and took them to the camp to attack the survivors who left him for dead.

Reasons why I think this might have happened: It wasn't a trickle of zombies that attached, but a small group at once. Seems like if it were zombies simply stumbling out of Atlanta at random it would be more like continual attacks of one or two Zs. If it was a mass migration of Zs out of the city, it would seem like it would be a continuing horde of Z that would overrun the camp. It just seemed really strange that it was a small group that could have been stuffed into the truck.

how would merle seal off the cab of that truck?

and how could they not hear him coming? they were able to hear them the first time the rest of the group returned, no?

you may be right and it would make sense, i just question how and why?

i mean if i had just sawed my hand off on top of the toll of being locked on a rooftop for a few days....the last thing on my mind for the time being would be getting revenge.

not to mention i think we would have seen more of merle at this point if he was out for revenge.
