This sounds good, but i believe in the first episode of 1st season when Rick came across little zombie girl; didn't she pick up her teddy bear before attacking him? So maybee there is something else there, besides brainless eating machines. Probably not though, just a thought.
In most Zombie universes Zombies maintain some simple primal instincts. Like in Dawn of the Dead they all start heading to the mall because going to the mall is what people do.

82 days from Global Outbreak. Carl shot on Day 68? Damn, he does heal fast!
What? They're at the farm less than 2 weeks? Can't be right.

Sounds like a fishy timeline to me, but as someone said, why nitpick on a show about reanimated zombies?
B/c it's a serious show. We'll accept the premise of the zombies, but it becomes a lot less interesting if much else is far-fetched.

So how much time are we assuming has passed on the farm in total? I know Carl seemed to heal overnight and all that. But I am assuming it's been several months...maybe 2 or 3 up to 6 at most. Thoughts?

14 freakin days?!
Spoiler Alert: Season 3 reveals Carl is the long lost child of Xmen's Wolverine!

the magical shotgun and perfect head shots in a moving vehicle didn't really bother me, it was a fun scene. Its OK at times to throw realism out the window for entertainment purposes

You bastard. Now you've totally ruined both The Walking Dead and X-Men for me. Please post in only your coloradoBengal approved TWD/X-Men special combined spoiler thread next week.

Stupid decisions - My last thought got me thinking about this. Like most of you, I like second guessing and bitching about the stupid decisions made. However, we have time to think about it and have a bit of forward knowledge. I'm sure we would all make some dumb decisions if there were thousands of flesh-eating zombies chasing us. Also, smart decisions would often make for a boring show.
If you are one of the last bastion of humanity to survive the zombie hordes, I expect you to not be idiots because the idiots should have been killed off by now. Maybe the show's producers wanted to do a show about a group that just survives entirely on dumb luck but it seems like a bad idea. Furthermore, smart decisions don't necessarily make for a boring show...they just require better writing in order to manufacture drama.

How does it affect your opinion of Lori, knowing that she banged a mutant as well?
Probably when Rick didn't call that he was going to be late for dinner. She thought he was never coming home and spread her legs for the first guy in "uniform" that came along.

Now that the prison is out there, what do some of those that have not read the comic think they will find when they get there? Lots of possibilities with guards, prisoners, other regular people, and zombies all potentially in the mix.
I have read the comic, so I will refrain from any speculation. I hope others do the same.

I like the idea of moving around an area half the size of Georgia, stashing food and supplies along the way. A bunch of small stashes; if a few are ratfricked by someone else, so what. A few campsites would be good to. Do all the improvements you have time to do. This is how the Indians did it.

Once she heard he had really hard bones that never went soft she had no choice.

I'm thinking the prision will be full of prisoners who died of starvation and are now zombies, but are safely locked up.
I can't see it being empty. With the sword carrying one a definite now, this show should get good. I just want to know how they will handle the prison. The group is small and weak, and another group knows of them for sure. A lot could happen. With something as large as a prison I would think it could have both living and dead in it easily.

my wife also does not watch the show and i don't know any women that do, and from what i gather this thread is a sausagefest, but wouldn't lori's character piss women off?
My wife watches the show as avidly as I and she hates Lori with a passion. She was screaming at her latest display last night

This is what I am coming around to in the Walking Dead world. Not with tent campsites though. frick that. Hard structures. Mapped out, with buried caches of ammo, fuel, food, water purification, etc.

and the actor's take on is
In an interview, she said that people will just randomly come up and call her a bitch or a whore. She said that literally every fan of the show hates her.
