looks like the pipes they was working on was for a boiler, so i'm guessing the boiler blew up and destroy the building.

What a terrible episode for a season finale.
So the Kingdom fell....why? Because people got killed at/taken from the fair? Was it the water pipes? WTF?
Same thing I said last night.
They love each other IMO. Maybe not as a couple, but certainly as a family. And during one of the seasons at the prison, they would go out and talk at night, and Carol asked Darryl if he wanted to have sex. I always took that to mean they were actually together at some point and were just friends/family now.
Another thing that bothered me about last week...why were the decapitated heads zombified? That made no sense since we see any sort of spinal/head trauma as the means to kill walkers. Michonne chops heads off all day long. And moreover, the heads were literally on spikes, a.k.a. they literally have a stake driven through the head, which kills walkers 100% of the time. Were the writers just trying to create drama by having the heads and mouths move?
I have no idea why they felt the need to tie themselves together for that blizzard. I get that it was supposed to be whiteout conditions, but they showed the house across the street (Aaron's house I think?), and they could've run to it in about 15 seconds. Seems like an awful lot of trouble to tie yourselves together.
And of course Judith runs off like an idiot. I swear the kids on this show are literally stupid most of the time. And I assume that was Negan's reconciliation now that he saved her.
Michonne still feels the need to whisper all of her lines.
So it looked like Carol broke up/divorced Ezekial, no? I really fricking hope so, because that whole relationship is just awkward and weird. Hopefully we can get back to badass Carol. I miss her.
I don't understand the point of this episode. Was it to show the snowstorm? Was there any other point besides that? The pot didn't advance at all outside of them having to leave the Kingdom. trespass on Alpha's land, and then the 2 seconds of a voice on the radio at the end. I guess maybe add Negan's relative humanity as well. Unless I missed something, what else happened of consequence? Just seemed like an awful lot of nothing going on.
And Michonne's conversation with Ezekial was very telling. Why in the world would she ever think that separating communities like that would make everyone stronger? You literally lose your sense of "community" when you cut ties with your allies like that. And I'm sorry, but they are way too far apart. They should build their communities a lot closer together. That is how you build back civilization.
Can't wait to read this thread now and see how many people LOVED this episode.

Total turd of an episode
They thought having a snow episode was worthy of finale
Worst finale ever

The Kingdom fell
quote:Yea, the fact that you're holding this up as a top 3 thing in the season finale kinda proves how crappy it was.
Carol and Ezekiel broke up

Negan is on the path to redemption
2 things you mentioned aren't the big, blockbuster things that normally happen, and the other one we didn't see happen, so what did we actually get? Just a couple of groups fighting the elements and everyone surviving just fine.

Well yeah they're doing the GOT approach where your big events happen on the penultimate episode

A fricking snow storm and you're going to die? You're in Virginia, just go hunker down in the nearest building until it passes.
You wont starve or freeze. On the list of problems these people have dealt with, this shouldn't even register.

Total let down after the last episode. Kang and Carol broke up, big whoop. People acting like idiots in a blizzard, pat for the course. Only redeeming thing that happened is Dog is ok.

Not going to lie, I've been pretty invested in this show for a while now, but im not sure if i'm going to pick it back up when it comes on. It really all depends on what else is on TV when it comes back. It just hasnt done it for me this season. I don't care about any of these characters except Daryl. Michonne makes me want to break my tv. The Carol story has gotten stupid. This finale was awful.

Were they tied or just holding a rope because it seemed like Judith and Negan just dropped it and ran? Also weren't they still inside fenced in Alexandria? Dog and Judith couldn't have made it that far

In a ZA where there are dead bodies all over the place? How will they notice anything out of the ordinary? Plus you have all winter and spring for the bodies to decompose more. By the time the Whisperers come back there will just be bones, nothing they haven't seen before. Many of those kills happened by the river which will probably have seasonal flooding and most of those zombie bodies will be washed away.

The whisperers don't kill zombies on their land so those kills will be obvious... especially the fact that they are by the lake that is an obvious crossing between the lands. The skulls will have spots where weapons were clearly used to kill them... an arrow impact wound will definitely stand out.

Never thought of it like that. I suppose they could notice if they come upon the remains.

Therefore, Carol chose Daryl over Zeke.
Maybe she knows that because the Whisperers killed her kid, she's about to become a fricking Whisperer executioner 100 times more bloodthirsty than she ever was before she met Ezekial and she knows that its either her relationship or her vengeance and she chose vengeance.
After all, she did say that she felt like she was losing herself again.

I was kinda getting used to the new Carol so I’m going to be disappointed if she goes full ninja again. We’ve seen that already
she was happy and still very dangerous which is much more interesting
I really wish in that negan-michonne sit down that negan would have encouraged her to go on offense with alpha now that they’ve crossed her territory. Negan knows what’s going to happen with nutcases like that. And as far as the narrative it’s obvious there’s going to be conflict anyway. It would be a neat callback to Rick and them making the aggressive move against the saviors way back when

Once Daryl hit that first frozen walker, I knew that would be how Whisperers would figure out they crossed the border. Thing is, as has been mentioned, Alpha was already preparing for war before she possibly could have known.
Also, Daryl did leave his dog at Kingdom. He left it with Connie.
Radio was absolutely Maggie’s group. No way they will introduce Rick back into the story yet.
This finale was trash. As far the season as a whole, I think it seems better than it really was because the show has been so bad for so long. It being even a little better seemed like a huge improvement.
