Bad episode. I never liked the Whisperer story line and never thought it would translate well to tv. The power they had was their mystery and the ability to hide amongst the dead. But they still numbered in the 100s and the herds were 10s of thousands. That is a threat.

This drivel could be wiped out in an hour. Dozen man fireteam with rifles could gun all of them down quickly. They have guns, Eugene can make ammo. Its not a threat. They should/could just kill them all..

I think tonight might be the first time that there wasn't a Walking Dead thread.

I liked it. Alpha and Beta are two of the more interesting characters on the show right now.

So many problems here

They have no idea how many Whisperers there are actually are. The herd has to at least be in the thousands something the group has never dealt with. They also have an extremely limited amount of guns and not much material to make ammo with. They already had one group fall. Not to mention it's not like the Saviors where they know who the enemy is. Any Whisperer could infiltrate a community and help bring it down

You don't need to know how many there are. The herds are tiny, less than a hundred or so. You send gun men to shoot them all. The 3 communities combined have over 100 people in them. They should have tons of guns, plus people to repair, maintain and construct more. They are tightknit groups that haven't let people in for years. They should be very well armed and geared up. I am not going to bring up the comics, but no group would be able to survive in that world without munitions..

These first two episodes have been completely underwhelming

for the people who devoted 5+ years of their life to this show, why stop? You basically wasted all that time just to stop?

You should research the concept of sunk costs. That answers your question.

That is false unless you're talking about the number of people they have. They're nomadic meaning they move from place to place and often walk with herds of walkers. That mega herd at least 1000 if not more

I think 10s or maybe 100s of thousands is more likely. Carol and Daryl could clear 1000 walkers before lunch.

Easy there, Rambo. If they killed all of the enemies in 5 minutes, there wouldn't be much of a show, would there?

I enjoyed the back story. But then, I don't need for the plot to be wrapped up in one episode.

You are totally projecting cause they have never showed anything remotely close to that. We have never seen a mega herd with thousands. Even when they were trying to lead the herd away (from the quarry), that herd was maybe a thousand. I understand how difficult it is to find that many extras and the CGI costs. But they are walking amongst groups of around 50 or so. That just wouldn't be that hard to defeat.
