Just a question but why did the group accept the convicts but not Tyrese's group? Makes no sense...

Rick went berzerk. His illusions of Laurie created paranoid skizophrenia. As a result he drove off who could have been some decent allies/additions to the team.

This. But, I think Tyresse will recognize the governor as crazy really quickly. He seems like the only level headed person left on the show. ETA: Maybe Hershel and Carl, too.

The complaining every episode is getting old. I liked the episode and thought it was fine. Despite what people think, things did happen. I'm just not sure what the posters on this board really want.

Agreed its been going on for almost every episode since the pilot.

If its so boring quit watching and stfu or just stfu. Either works

I thought needing to further prove Andrea was stupid and the Governor was crazy was highly unnecessary. (most of the episode)

How exactly is she stupid? Michonne dropped a lot of stuff on her tonight that she didn't know. Remember the last time that they say each other Andrea had a gun in Michonne's face.

No one thought Andrea would stab the governor. No one.

Okay. What's your point?

The singing at the end was stupid.

Zombie already cleared this up.

The old lady attempting to join the army or whatever was laughably dumb.

See above.

Michonne doing exercises like they have all of these calories to spare and looking stupid.

How do you know that it isn't her way of keeping her mind off things? Actors get freedom to make the character their own, and that could be something that Danai Gurira decided to add.

Edit: No one doing any prep work for the coming battle. Even if Rick has lost it, I think someone would be doing something.

I think much could have been gained by seeing them getting ready for battle.

When writing, a tele/sceenplay you don't have to add detail that isn't entirely important. That being said, they did that last episode, but were caught off guard.

Why have it in the story then?

I just found the singing a bit forced by the writers. becoming a cliche way to throw in a bit of "cool" music and all is well "but hey we are hip and great writers". It isn't this show. Others do it too. I watch them with friends who think they are cool with music. An entire movie or show will suck but have some hip music and they'll be like "that sure was deep".

Obviously my opinion.

Very fair point.

Sure, it was a slow episode. But it was a filler. And while nothing major happend, it set up that something big is about to happen. Didn't mind the episode, decent filler.

Nobody has really talked about it yet, but it seems that Rick is getting back to his old self.

I like Tyrese, but I hate the 2 guys he is with.

Next week looks legit.

I'm most worried that the guy that wrote the comics dies before the shows done, he's gotten hugeeeeee

There are 104 comics, and we are on like issue 21 right now.

Yeah I agree with this. The bitching has overshadowed valid issues with a episoode.

On the flip side every episode isnt " OMGZ TWD w4s s0000 Ep1c!!!###"

Its a story which needs depth. Its not a 1 line fortune cookie.

For sure. Nothing even happened at the end.

My son and I agreed that Gov was gonna be on to Andrea and whack her arse.

Then nothing.

This was clearly a filler episode because of the Oscars, but let's also keep in mind that Rick has been making great strides. The writers want old Rick back when shite hits the fan. For it to be believable, it had to take time.

I don't see it as filler.

The show isn't really about the Zombies. They are just the constant background. The story is the interaction between peoples when society breaks down. A post apocalyptic struggle.

Seeing Rick get his mind back, Merle being accepted into the group, Tyrese shifting to the other side, Andrea making contact with the Prison, and the Governor planning an invasion all made for a good set-up. I have issues with it, for source reasons, but that's for another thread. It's still a solid show, just an off episode.

Better writing would be a good start.

So I haven't been checking these threads since the season restarted, but I thought last weeks episode was one of the best ever in the series. This week was definitely weak, but I can forgive it.

Makes you wonder why with all the free cars out there are they dring a little shite arse hatchback car when they could be driving a 4x4 with a winch, big arse grill, etc. I mean there were like 10000 cars stuck out on the highway that they could have chosen from. Weren't they just outside of Atlanta? I'm sure there was a good truck somewhere.

Well, if there was unlimited gas/diesel then that would be fine, but there isn't. The cars they drive are for efficiency, not making donuts in the prison fields.

I thought last night's episode was solid. I liked that something happened, and by that I mean Andrea made it all the way to the prison, stayed a while, and then made it back to Woodbury....I really thought they were gonna drag it out and have her walking up to the gate with the walker be the end of the episode, so I was glad that didn't happen.

I will say that being that she WALKED to the prison so quickly, it's amazing to me that these two groups haven't ever come across each other before, or that Gov's crew hasn't even discovered the prison, but whatever.

Only thing I really didn't care for was the end with Andrea and the knife. Everyone knew she wasn't gonna do shite, so I feel like that was wasted screen time. But I guess at least she was naked.

All in all, solid episode. And I agree that it won't take long for Cutty to realize that Gov is insane and flip back to Rick's side. Also, the more Rick comes back to reality, the more he'll realize how valuable Cutty's crew can be.
