Maybe the reason I hate him or not really hate him or don't suck his dick like most white dudes my age is because I had an old drunk arse uncle named Joe and he thought he was Clint Eastwood.
MJC you know you my man, but gotta respectfully disagree with you on this one, I like old Clint and a lot of people don't realize that it is an act because they are actors and he has perfected that style over the years, Charles Bronson is another one with the tough guy persona and he stands or did stand at 5'5" a lot of people don't realize Mr. Eastwood is 6'5", so he made for a intimidating presence when he was young. but I like Eastwood mainly for the western image he perfected, he didn't start acting with the tough guy shite until he got into his Dirty Harry roles, I guess to keep up with Bronson, but your uncle that's some funny shite, a lot of white older males do that dumb shite to, thinking they are are Clint and not realizing it is a novie role. and btw, one of Eastwood's movies was Joe Kidd, maybe your uncle thought he was Kidd.

Your take on me laughing at Spike Lee's crappy movies ending up on the sales rack means absolutely not a fricking thing to me. I dont give a frick if you think I have issues. I know better.

My response was simply my response to a smart arse quip back at a comment made by a poster defending Spike Lee. And if you don't find it funny, that is your problem.

My point is there are still a lot of people that are seriously pissed about slavery. People living today have no basis for it. The repression that took place in the 50's & 60's has improved tremendously in recent times. My point is, stop using that issue as a means to keep the dividing wedge in place. Many still do. People killed and beaten were few and far between. Not every black man took or takes beatings anymore because of their skin color. Race relations have evolved and gotten much better. Some people just can't let go. Leave that negative shite in the past and move forward looking toward the progress and positive.

Last I checked the Academy awards for the bench mark for any actor or director. Clint has 5 wins

So because Eastwood won more "Best Director" Oscars than Scorcese, that makes him a better director than Martin?

Yeah you obviously don't care, that's why you responded with a paragraph.

F**k Spike Lee...who gives a shite what that a-hole thinks!! How can you possibly even compare him to someone like Eastwood who has been in movies since the 50's. Even if you want to look at it from a 'race' standpoint, Eastwood was putting A-A's in movies back in the early 70's. We would miss quite a bit if Eastwood was never in movies, whether acting or directing; Spike Lee- no big loss, in fact, we could live without anything he did. I did watch his movie on Malcolm X, which was pretty close to the book, but the sucess of that movie was more due to Denzel Washington than Spike Lee.
