Love it. Did a rewatch a year ago and it still holds up as a great series.

Had to come back to say, I don't think I've ever hated a character more than the one Forrest Whitaker plays in season 5.

Loved the show, but it has to have the all time WORST opening credits music. Lol. I’ll never be able to erase it from my memory either.

Couldn’t agree more.. it’s very early 2000’s, that’s for sure

Boy you have a long ride in front of you. Best show from that era IMO and probably best cop drama ever.

Season 5 for me is the GOAT. Whitaker just brought so much intensity to an already intense show.

What? Shut your whore mouth! The combo of the cold opening, something REALLY tense, and then that shot of adrenaline of the very short theme are AWESOME.

The Shield
It was sort of Breaking Bad before Breaking Bad. It's way better, for sure.

When Dutch interrogates the serial killer and the strike team guys are watching on the tv laughing at him is probably my favorite scene of the series.

And then he turns the tables and smokes the guy. Also loved when they put a camera in his car and caught him bombing on a date before driving off singing Hungry Like the Wolf.

Michael Chicklis and Forest Whitaker legit had some of the best scenes together that I have seen in any TV or movie.

It’s too bad Whitaker couldn’t win an Oscar for Kavanaugh. It’s easily the best acting of his career which is saying a lot. The scene where he realizes Vic is watching him on the interrogation camera and then _____ (omitted to avoid spoilers for OP) may be the best television acting I have ever seen.

I like the scene in the mid season episode when Kavanaugh loses his shite in his hotel room after being played by Vic's undercover sting.

The Wire overall may be better but the re-watchability of The Shield is 100x better because of the pacing.

Well I started watching the reunion thing and the only thing I can think is Chiklis is a real-life goomba.

Finally finished the entire show. The series finale might be the best hour of
TV I've ever watched. What an incredible show
