The thing that got me a little confused was how Baby Billy viewed Kelvin as the best of the children, the most musically talented, etc.
It seemed kind of random because nowadays Kelvin is just as mediocre as Jesse and Judy, has no obvious musical talent, and doesn’t appear all that close with Baby Billy.

Hadn't thought of that. It makes sense. I think they needed the Gemstone money more than they let on. And by getting rid of Eli, they would have Jesse at the top and able to put all the money needed into the project.

I think it’s the Lissons who are targeting the hit for sure. They want to take Eli out so Jessie can control the gemstone fortune and invest in the resort.
If you remember, when Jessie and wife first got on the bus that got shot up, the driver said, “ this is reserved for doctor gemstone” .
They finally got got the hit on eli that was originally intended for Eli.
My guess would be, the Lissons will pop up in the next episode after Eli is in the hospital , thinking power has been transferred to Jessie. And see if they can make an investment in the resort.
