did someone not love him enough when he was little?
PTSD from his experience in the ER during covid. Lost his mentor to it, etc.

No, it was a backstory during season 1.

The day he works in Season 1 is the anniversary of his mentor’s death (Adamson) due to COVID. He has ringing in his ears, flashbacks, etc. Early in the season he’s treating the older dying man (with his adult kids there) in the room with the forest paintings in the wall and we find out that’s the room his mentor died in when he has his panic attack.
I thought they had covered that pretty well.

The poster asking that has not watched any of the series so there’s no way he could know that
Not sure why he would roll into a season 3 thread but here we are

I didn't see where he mentioned he hadn't seen the show.

No, but they give the story through flashbacks, etc.

Because it's a really, really good show.

I think it is because many of us had some health scare in our family...or near to us if not personally. The show does a good job of the grind it is. Imagine dealing with this on Monday and saying "whoa..holy shite that was awful...goodnight! See ya tomorrow" for the next 20+ years of your career. Keep in mind this isn't a v-lookup formula that was awful. It was a few dead people.
Pretty rough life that to this day isn't appreciated enough.

Man, they are just pumping seasons out on the regular.
Such a nice change to the "we need 2-3 years" bullshite from a lot of other shows.
...
Yeah its been nice. This show and Paradise on Hulu have been really good at putting out a new season every year so far.

You're mad at me for noticing something this show does extremely overtly and beats people over the head with it.
This is a truly great show that the writers/creators openly acknowledge that they have made overtly political. They really don't have to do that, but they do, so its fair discussion

They did a nice job of not even touching the whole Baby Jane Doe thing. My wife swears Robby took her home.

Shocking twist this season:
One patient is clearly a conservative and turns out they are a really good person and they are cured and sent home; while another patient is clearly a liberal and they are awful and they die
No one will believe it
There was one (presumably) conservative family in Season 2.
Nascar fans dubbed "The Bickersons" by the staff because they bickered non stop. In the ER because they got into an argument which led to a bacon grease accident. They get to the ER and ignore their family member and continue to argue about Nascar.
Good people.

My wife was an ER Nurse at Cooper in Camden, NJ ( think a medium sized city of the worst parts of Philly) early in her career. She still has PTSD 25 years later. Worst thing she saw was two little girls basically melted together after someone torched their house while they were sleeping.
Watching the Pitt with her weird - she calls out every surprise before it happens.

I'd love to see enough of a shift in hours that we get a little more of the nightshift folks.
I want a night crawlers spinoff.
