Solid finale.
Some good moments and everyone fighting to save the pregnant mom and baby felt like old school ER there
Al hashimi… in those scrubs with her curly hair let out… beautiful. But she’s irresponsible and I’m glad Robby called her out on it.. and that scene in her car where she was crying .. she knew he was right.. and is a liability until she gets is fixed
I enjoyed the finale. Some closure to storylines and I’m curious what Robby decides to do for his sabbatical if he even leaves at all or does something else
Was a fun ride this season.. maybe not as great as season 1 but an enjoyable week to week experience and fun recapping the episode in the thread and seeing everyone’s theories

Yeah, no doubt. Had a flashback to the famous episode in season 1 when the mom dies after Greene does the C-section in the ER. Really good TV during that scene.

Wish this would have been resolved before the episode ended. I can't imagine they're setting it up for him to adopt baby Jane Doe.

Kind of a far fetched scenario, IMO. Knowing about her condition for her whole life, I don't she how she would choose a specialty that she wouldn't be able to work in if she ever had a relapse. Would have been a better story if the onset was from some incident that happened after she was fully trained. I'd have felt sorry for her in that case...now, like you said, I just think she's irresponsible and selfish.
Thought the Langdon and Robby scene was a little too late and kind of missed the mark. He basically just reiterated everything Abbott told him.
Overall, entertaining season. Definitely had some great moments and the character development was really good for the most part. Looking forward to another season.

Man, what a great way to end it. You could see they were telling a story. From Duke and his regrets, to Abbott telling Robby he needed help, to Dana telling him, and finally Langdon saying it too. Then to tie it all up with the last scene with the baby. I’m not sure if they’d go all the way to Robbie taking the baby in, but you could see the next season setting up to be sometime after he gets the help he needs.

Man the baby scene was one of the most tense scenes of the two seasons. Whew.That felt so real. When that baby came out super blue I was like whoa. mcKay going from falling asleep in charting to saving a dying baby in a 5 second span was pretty great. She's a very underrated doctor. She could easily be an attending.
The mom and baby was kind of a make or break situation for Robby. You just knew that if they lost both of them that that was going to Send Robby over the edge. Maybe not taking his life, but he wasn't ever coming back to the Pitt after that.
I have seizures so some pretty relatable stuff in this episode for me. Even got viral meningitis like Al-Hashimi that made them worse
So have some sympathy for her but her being ok driving kind of makes me mad. I have a seizure and it gets reported every time and boom, just like that, your independence is taken away for 6 months at a minimum. But a lot of people that have seizures don't report it to the DMV and they just keep on driving. Very frustrating when I hear people that do that and seeing a doctor shrug it off was a little perturbing.
Huckleberry, Abbot, and Mohan are probably my favorites. Disappointed Mohan won't be back. Hopefully even more Abbot next year.

I can't imagine that Robby will adopt the baby, but he did have that conversation with Mohan about his dreams of a wife, two kids, and property with a pond.
Great conclusion to the season, though. They did such a nice job of showing Robby's conflicted nature. He can't wait to get out of the Pitt, but he can't tear himself away, either.
The scene where they're all watching fireworks was pretty great as well. You can see that the fireworks mean something different to each person there, but they're all American with their own experiences of being American. Very nice representation of melting pot pluralism.

This is the first medical drama I've watched since I was in high school watch House with my mom. Never cared for them because they seemed so fake. but debating turning on ER last night just to give it a shot. HBO really wants me to watch it, it's been on my home screen for a year.

Dana has been annoying this season. Her voice is really starting to wear on me. It's a minor complaint but if I heard her say "Baby Jane Doe" one more time I was going to pull my hair out. She finally stopped saying it but then this episode you have her just going around basically asking everyone in the ER if they want a baby. yes, because that's definitely how adoption works. You want a baby? Sure, here you go! No legalities, no application, no 50K adoption fees, just take the baby.

But then she and the staff were so worn out, it wasn't the best shift to be trying to get that done. Huckleberry might've been the best option since he had a young mom and toddler, a stable home for an infant for a night or two.

Man, I almost couldn’t watch it. I was having severe er/Dr. Greene flashbacks. That er episode is one of the most tense and well done episodes of TV I’ve ever watched. I’m sure putting this in the finale was on purpose and in service to those of us that remember that episode of er. Letting us have a good outcome so we can come full circle and move on with our lives.
Also, has it been discussed that Digby is Skinny Pete from Breaking Bad?

Baby scene was tough..
Was almost a minute-by-minute replay of my son being born. Came out that color, no sound, APGAR at 2 for what seemed like forever. They called a code and a dozen doctors and nurses came flooding in. Then the numbers started climbing
Never heard him cry before he was whisked away to NICU.. then they tell me to leave my wife to go meet him before asking me to sit in a chair between rooms for 15 minutes. One of the docs in the hallway walked by eating a CLIF bar and gave me a thumbs up and a smile... didn't say a word, kept on walking.

Def setting it up that way with him bringing up that he was abandoned at 8. Plus they’ve been playing up the not so hush hush relationship with the hospital administrator all season long. Wouldn’t be surprised to find in season 3 that he is wifed up and has adopted a kid and has discovered new meaning in life etc etc
