God damn. It’s amazing Schneider didn’t get himself killed. It’s even more amazing it wasn’t someone from the fbi or DEA that did it.

Easiest way to explain it away is that she was hiring them off duty.
Given how corrupt they are I doubt that was the case. But it didn’t seem like they went after that angle much

There was an article a couple years ago that said that she hired them and policeman would work a detail for “a business that has a lot of cash”. I think after all of the stuff came out the police shut those details down. Someone else may know if that is correct or not

I just really want to know why this dude is tape recording random conversations with his family at Rocky and Carlos and keeping those tapes for 20 years.

Back when technology was much more of a novelty, there was a subculture of tech nuts who wants to use it for everything and everything.
Plenty of people out there that would go out to record anything and everything
That trauma also probably triggered some OCD or other nervous ticks within his system and it might’ve helped his growing paranoia

Just watched episode 1&2. Dan seems like an attention starved individual about the Dr Cleggett deal. I would have been pissed if I were the fbi or dea guys that he kept bothering.

Maybe attention starved wasn’t the best choice of words, but the obsession just seemed odd. Apparently there are drug dealers on every corner of the 9th ward when the sun goes down, but he’s not set up videoing them and demanding the fbi take action.

Hot take: Mr. Schneider seems like a really cool and loving person to have in your life as a kid growing up. Good role model. Seems to do the right things the right way.
Negative: he seems irritating as hell when he constantly badgering people. I imagine being one of those people and it’d drive me nuts.
Also, I wouldn’t talk to that dude because he seems to record everything. Once I found that out, I’d never deal with him again.

Clegette was a frickin drug dealer. And a drug dealer that was 100 times more dangerous and effective than any random crack dealer in the 9th ward.
