Just because it doesn't have a shot of the wormhole doesn't mean it's not still there. Like in a masterful work of art there needs to be interpretive space. I am okay with leaving open for interpetation. But I do think the ending is odd either way because Cooper doesn't seem to give a rats arse about his family and they don't seem to even notice him.

That was odd.

"Hey kids, here is your great-grandfather who has miraculously reappeared after decades in space while only really aging a couple of years"

Kids: "Eh"

I guess because murph was on her death bed. Kinda dampered the mood a little in the room. frick some complete stranger. I wouldn't care either.

That's why the 200 years later story line works better. Murph and all of the family he's known would be dead.

Completely disagree. The plot completely hinges on the fact that Cooper is going to save his daughter and return before she dies. He needed to see her for this film to be completely effective. That is the real soul of the film, and I quite literally burst into tears when he saw her again on her death bed.

Fair enough. Either way, there should've been more clarification. All they had to do was say they were or were not in contact with Brand. Not as Murphy said "she's out there in a distant galaxy". But the ending( and I've seen it several times) works both ways.

Not really. The entire reason A was developed and saved was for the craft to go through the hole. The hole was by Saturn. There is no reason to go anywhere near Saturn and set up shop if no hole. It's bad out there. They could set up anywhere apparently, and they chose Saturn.

Read through some of the pages here. Can't believe some of you are arguing over a movie.

Either way, I enjoyed the movie very much and I'll leave it at that.

It's all speculation, except J Nolan's mouth and the original script which both say closed.
show me where j nolan worked on the film after his brother started rewriting and directing. that will make me believe you more.

Yeah, it's weird. I guess if you have nothing better to do, then arguing about a movie is something to do.

It's a movie. It's supposed to be entertainment. It's not like it's a documentary where you arguing the validity of arguments in the movie.

I mean, it's Sci-Fi movie. Science FICTION.

Then what is the point of this board as a whole? Just to post trailers in, because that's really all we can do without at least having a debate in some form, whether it be subtle or confrontational. Shows like LOST wouldn't even exist if the creators didn't want people to debate it. Nolan certainly wanted us to think about and debate this film, to where we're all completely justified in arguing about this movie.

That's not what's happening. People are getting angry at each other over what they "think" happened in a movie.

Just crazy to me that you'd get angry at someone for a differing opinion on a movie.

Either way. Carry on. Do your thing.

Some viewers have complained that sections of dialogue are difficult to hear, but Nolan told the Hollywood Reporter that was intentional.

He said the idea was "to experience the journey the character is going on."

"I've always loved films that approach sound in an impressionistic way and that is an unusual approach for a mainstream blockbuster, but I feel it's the right approach."

Do you get pissed when the Gators lose? Do you debate sports with your friends? It's no more outrageous than that. Sorry, but you're on a movie board. People here tend to be passionate about films. And a great film can mean a lot more to someone than watching 18 to 23 year old men running up and down an open field.

Saw it last night and thought it was incredible. I'm normally a stickler for storylines that are hard to fathom or explain, but Nolan does such a great job of taking deep, thought-provoking concepts and immersing the audience in them.

Bunch of cuntfricks criticizing it for being "too hard to believe." No fricking shite
