Dude, we will argue over a gif. Hell, we'll argue over the pronunciation of gif.

I hope there is a sequel. I would love to see the story continue.

Where the heck would you take it though? I can't see them topping it.

All of you people who believe the wormhole was open need to go change the Wikipedia plot. It says that Murph convinced Cooper to go out and find Brand who is alone starting plan B.
quote:
Years later, Cooper awakes aboard a NASA space station and reunites with the now elderly Murphy, who has led humanity's exodus. On her deathbed, Murphy convinces Cooper to search for Amelia, who has begun work on Plan B alone on Edmunds' planet.

So if the wormhole is still open, why would Cooper need to steal a spaceship? Why not just go on one of the ships going to Brand's planet? It takes away from Cooper's challenge at the end of the film. It makes no sense that he would have to steal a ship. That's the whole point of the end of the movie. It's a challenge for him to explore and find Brand. Otherwise, all he has to do is hitch a ride on one of the spaceships on the way to Brand's planet.
At the end of the movie Murph says about Brand "she's alone, settling in for the long nap". She says she's alone more than once. If there were people helping her set up shop, why would she say she's alone?

Don't even think that. I need to see more of this story.
Use the battle with the Chinese Robots from the 2008 screenplay for the sequel. Cooper's too interesting a character to let it all end with this first film.
Let's be honest. If you are McConaghey or his agent, you want a sequel. Cooper is exactly the kind of leading man character that Matthew McC would want to be remembered for. Get a gun and hold it to Nolan's head until he writes you a sequel so you can play Cooper again.

His character doesn't work as well with Murphy out of the equation. Seriously, what does he have to strive for now?

A sequel would be awful. Let it be what it is.

I agree with that. And I don't think Nolan will make a sequel.

I dont think there is any chance he would even consider it.

Yeah, but those stakes are nowhere near the level of the original. Seriously, what helped make that docking scene so intense is that you know that all of humanity is hinging on that, and it's seemingly epic and impossible. Just him exploring would be a terrible idea.

Yea, I'm not for a sequel at all. But I think that's what we're suppose to get from the ending. The idea that he'll be exploring.

I'm not going to argue with you on this point. It would serve no useful purpose. To spend time on a pointless endeavor would be highly illogical.

Here's my take on that. He's chosen to leave Murph twice. Both times to explore. He regretted his decision the first time, but if he did not leave, all would've been doomed. I think he would rather die at this point than stay put, especially since his family is all gone.

My question... Is there really a black hole in space that you can go to & go to the future & past?
