I didn't think it implied it at all. In fact, now that I think about it, it makes more sense that the portal is closed and there is a disconnect between the two societies and it's up to Cooper to bring them together. I like the mystery of it. Just my opinion.

How does it make sense? If that portal is closed, as far as both Muph and Copper know, she told her father to go on the ultimate snipe chase and kill himself in the process.

I was thinking about the human eggs they are cultivating on that planet.
Who the hell is gonna raise all of those kids? Wouldn't society break down?
I doubt Les Miz could raise them all herself since she buried edmunds.

Well, Murphy did say at the end of the movie that she was all alone. Why would Brand be alone if Murphs crew was there? No worries. Coops on his way to "alright, alright, alright."

Fair enough. Either way, there should've been more clarification. All they had to do was say they were or were not in contact with Brand. Not as Murphy said "she's out there in a distant galaxy". But the ending( and I've seen it several times) works both ways.

I absolutely love the movie. However, if the wormhole is closed at the end, that ruins the movie for me and I hate it.

Finally saw it. This just edged its way into a top 50 favorite all-time. That was a great movie. I'm not a big fan of Nolan but what an awesome movie.
