I haven't watched life of pi and really have no idea what is it about is it really a great movie or does it just have some kind of deep meaning that Hollywood likes to fap to?

Ang Lee's not my favorite director, but he sure does make pretty movies. I'm glad they gave the ward to an actual artist and not some technician this year. Director is usually the biggest travesty of the night.

Always figured Ang Lee was a possibility. Lincoln's momentum shut down pretty early and the Academy was looking for any reason not to give the Oscar to Spielberg. He's not very popular.
