The god awful: Everything after Michael left was terrible. It got progressively worse as it stumbled on.

Just objectively wrong

True it wasn't as good when Michael left, but it still had some good moments after that. I thought Gabe was a hilarious character. One of the funniest moments in the whole series was when Gabe and Andy had an encounter

Yeah, it definitely fell off, though there were some good moments. The Finale was well done.

I particularly hated when Pam and Jim started having marital issues and she confided in the camera guy.

I liked the Robert Kalifornia character. He was just so weird.

Erin was some good eye candy, and a good replacement for Pam after she became a total bitch after the baby.

The show started to decline the episode Michael started dating Pam’s mom and they turned Pam into a total bitch.

I may be in the minority but I've always loathed Jim's character. He has a very punchable face and never thought he was funny.

Agree. Thought Nellie had her moments as well like the episode where she did the motivated speaking

The more I rewatch it, the more punchable Jim is.

The later seasons were pretty good- I just get bewildered how many plots are left hanging. They hire Danny Cordray just to have the Pam discussion, and we never see him again. They hire Kathy for tension with Jim, and she literally disappears after Tallahassee.

Whatever happened to the hottie Will Ferrel hired? I always wondered that.

I see your point here. The best part of Jim was his pranks on Dwight. Other than that Jim was lame!

After Michael left Dwight was the only reason I kept watching the show.

His pranks on Dwight were great, and all of the moments when Jim got what was coming to him were great too (the snowball fight, the stuff with Charles Minor, etc)

Really, it started sucking when saber and Robert Kalifornia came on.

Agree, and it's mainly why I say that Parks and Rec really wasn't THAT far behind the office as far as shows go. Peak office (basically the beginning up through about season 5/6ish) is elite comedic TV, but then just completely falls off a cliff when michael leaves, some of those later seasons are simply BAD, whether pepole want ot admit it or not. P&R didn't have quite the lofty highs as the office but didn't have NEARLY as low of lows either...once it hit its stride when ben adn chris join in season 2 it's consistently excellent all the way to the very end.

It was meh but still had some funny moments.

"The Boat" in season 9 is one of my favorite episodes of the series. That whole pretend radio interaction with Dwight is so underrated. "You're going to have to let the mailman go..."

I liked Robert and Gabe.

Definitely went down hill after Michael left though.

That episode was hilarious.

IMO the best episode was when Michael outed Oscar and then the company gave him a 6 month paid vacation and company car.

Agree with almost everyone here about what they did to Pam's character and that after Steve left the show, it went downhill from there.

This isn't some brainbusting thought or anythign, but one major part of what made the office so awesome early on was the dynamic between jim and pam. Once they became a serious couple and then ultimately got married, like 90% of what made them endearing to the viewer was gone. It was only natural for both of them to go downhill once that happened.

Was anybody else ready to hate Russ Hanneman on Silicon Valley after his dumb arc in the Office?

Totally redeemed himself
