Wait am I misreading this? So you pretty much only like the first 3 seasons? Psycho Jan dating Michael gave us the GOAT episode

Also I liked Gabe. Zach Woods can do no wrong. “I own over 200 horror movies!!”

I loved Gabe because it was so much fun to see him get shite on by everyone in the office.

It was not as good after Michael left, this is a fact. But another key downfall was when Pam became a salesman.

The show was obviously better with Steve on it, however the hate it gets post Steve is unwarranted.

The show after he left was still solid and very hilarious.

She was a c*nt the last couple seasons. I hated her character.

Secretary Pam was goat.

The show hit it's groove in Season 2. It peaked around the end of Season 3 & 4. The show never really had great footing (by it's own standards) once Pam & Jim got married. The version of the Office everyone loved stopped once Michael left.

Forced too many characters like Andy and Robert California. Pam's transition to become a stronger person sucked.

The last season wasn't bad, but it was relative to the previous few seasons. Still had one of the GOAT finales of all time.

We should have never hired Andy and Nellie. We should have also fired Jim and Pam and kept Todd Packer. Hindsight is 20/20.

Hiring Andy was fine, but you shouldn’t have sent him to anger management brainwashing class. You turned that man into a sniveling pile of shite.

Nellie was an awful hire, Andy in charge was massive screw up. Should have let Dwight hire Gabor

As others have siad in the thread, I see 3 phases of the office

The golden era: The first 3-4 seasons, show was absolutely awesome.

The ok years: After the golden era up until Michael leaves. Show clearly has lost a step, but still consistently funny.

The god awful: Everything after Michael left was terrible. It got progressively worse as it stumbled on.

I thought the season after he left kinda sucked, but the final season was solid

It just wasn't as good as the earlier seasons so it gets a bad rap.

Yep. Because today when something great isn’t great anymore that automatically makes it garbage. Even if it’s still pretty good and better than most things on tv

If you’re someone who thinks the last couple seasons were truly terrible, are you saying it’s in the same realm of shows like 2 Broke Girls? A show that is truly terrible?

Yea but the last episode when Michael makes a surprise appearance was incredible. That episode isn’t one of the best finales of all time if Michael hadn’t left

The latter seasons did falter but still had funny moments. I felt the build up to the finale was great. Jim dropping Athleap, committing to Pam and seeing their relationship rekindle was one of the better moments.

Also Dwight taking over the manager position with Jim’s genuine backing while keeping up with the tom-foolery (or lack thereof) was actually heartwarming. Dwight thrives and Jim was happy to be back with his family and jacking around.

Michael coming back for just that moment was perfectly set up and wouldn’t be as impactful if he had dragged on.

Also they successfully turned Angela into a sympathetic character, which I thought was impossible

People who say the last seasons are garbage haven’t rewatched them since the original run. I was furious at times when it aired
