Season one michael has aged like milk. He would have been cancelled on twitter 10 minutes into "Diversity Day"

Luckily, twitter cancer wasn't around then.

You folks are really dramatic about this "You could not show this on tv now" deal.

Charlie Day said the n word multiple times on IASIP two seasons ago. The show wasn't canceled and his career wasn't canned.

Unpopular opinion, but I thought Robert California was hilarious.

I liked him in his first couple of appearances but that wore off when he became a part of the main cast.

I doubt seriously that NBC didn't at least make a "We can't afford to raise you much, but would you consider staying for another two to three seasons" offer. Carell was obviously the star of that show, ensemble or not. It wouldn't have cost them a penny to ask the question.

Robert California was at his best when used as a Creed-type of character. Show up, make a couple of ridiculous comments, and leave. Hell, the funniest Robert California moment to me was his first scene after being hired when he walked into the office, looked around, and then sped off in his car to go demand the CEO position. Didn't say a word.

Netflix is what caused The Office to become extremely popular.

The office was huge when Netflix was only sending DVDs in the mail.

What do you mean by didn’t work out?

If by didn’t work out meaning had a starring or costarring role in both critically and commercially successful films even being nominated for an Oscar I guess it didn’t work out

I would think he made significantly more money once he left The Office than he did filming The Office or would have made had he continued filming The Office

Have you seen any episodes of It's Always Sunny?

Also, Michael Scott is one of the greatest tv characters of all time. I've said this numerous times on here but his unintentional racism throughout the show is so underrated and makes me laugh everytime.

Oscar: Yeah I think I came down with the flu.
Michael: Really? Oh, that is a shame. You know it’s cleaning day here today? Could have used some of that famous Hispanic cleaning ethic.

Oscar, your gayness doesn't define you. It's your Mexicaness that defines you.

Did you even read the article? Carrel isn't the one who said it. Guy wrote a book about the Office and interviewed a bunch of the crew from the show, they are the ones who said it.
