So like I said, was attached by you for and was correct on, $100-115 early tracking seemed low.
That's your post. I'm asking you to provide proof that I attacked you for stating 100-115 was too low. I'll wait...

Deflecting and asking me to prove your case or do your work for you when you know exactly what I’m referencing is just tactics which is all you ever have when you go on defense. So dishonest and so disingenuous it’s sickening. I was surprised at the $100-115 tracking prediction and I told you why, because the average total box office for movies with an opening in that range isn’t where I thought the Odyssey would end up. I said $850 million was the floor and $1.1+ billion was the ceiling and that it needed to get over $120 domestic at least to hit its potential. You completely misrepresented what I said at first then you began to deflect and add irrelevant qualifiers to reframe the attack on my post. You can lie all you want and say you don’t remember it but you do and you can easily find it in your own post history if you want. Not playing your pathetic little game.

Can y'all stop this stupid shite. It is literally every fricking thread and you completely ruin any actual discussion of the movie. This is poliboard nonsense.

Dishonest and hypocritical

the sound design is bad to the point where a few scenes you can't hear what is being said
This is my bi-annual post of I do not understand people who bitch about Nolan sound mixing.
I’ve never had an issue with a single sound in a Nolan movie ever.

Oscar's: we won't consider you unless there is diversity
Nolan: got it. I won't include a symphony bc those didnt exist then, but L.A. diversity and dialect fit.
Shills: It's just a myth doesn't matter
People tired of "the message ".
If it doesn't matter, why do it?
Nolan/Shills: you're racist.
Clown

This is the level of ridiculousness we’re dealing with.

This movie was 30 minutes too long. As others have said, the first act is pretty bad. The dialogue is simply shite. Charlize was hugely underutilized. Holland didn’t feel right. And poor Hathaway just had to cry soft tears every fricking scene. And she was in a lot of them. His return was great. And I like some of the smaller stories more than the others. The witch scene was my favorite. And just to beat a dead horse, Ellen page was distracting as frick. Her size wasn’t as big of an issue as her fake deep voice. Finally, was there a reason we never see Agamemnon’s face?

Yeah it's a well known issue with Nolan. Hell you couldn't make out a lot of conversations in Tenet. Th odyssey has this happen at the very beginning a couple of times but that's it

How was the sound? Did you see it on IMAX?
Posted on 7/17/26 at 8:04 pm to Madking
Sound was fine in my opinion. Yes I saw it in imax. Like I said in my review, the first 15 minutes really had me questioning the movie between the rapper, tom hollands acting, the dialogue, and a couple of conversations you can barely hear. It's turns great once you get on the road with Odysseus and his journey

Just trying to decide what’s the best way to avoid the sound issues or if there is a way.

Also Polyphemus is never mentioned by name and the "I am No Man" trick is left out.
WTF? Unforgivable

I saw it on 70mm. Sound was fine but there were a few very loud parts, especially cyclops when he gets his eye poked out.

Typical Nolan film.
8/10 for me.
Would have been cool to see Achilles, a much more attractive Helen, and some cool effects of Zeus or Poseidon.
