Just started the OC. Im on season 1 now. Does it get better? Like all mid 00s teen shows, im anticipating a little teen pregnancy, drunk driving, maybe some cheating…. Just saw the ep where the dudes dad turnsout to be a flambay.

Watching it now with the wife. We are almost done season 2. I must say, im thoroughly enjoying it. Nice little mindless series to watch to finish the day.

To me this show starts off great - and I think it was a major influence on Nerdy becoming cool. But as initial storylines completed they really didn’t have a whole lot of good to turn to and you pretty much start disliking all of the characters.

I got distracted by other shows for about a year somewhere around mid S3 and picked it back up later.
Second half of S3 gets pretty crazy, leading into S4.

They should have ended it after 3 seasons when they weren't in high school anymore... but season 4 did bring us Chris Pratt's breakout role. So there's that.

To answer your question, Seasons 1 & 2 are great if you like the genre. Season 3 is okay, kinda drags a bit. Season 4 is garbage

This was the first series I ever "binged" since it came out before Netflix was a thing. My college roommate bought the DVD set. "California" by Phantom Planet was a great choice for opening song as well...
