Right Night Stalker, wrong thread. Loved that show as a kid.

Richard "Stanky Chops" Rameriz. It would have been a better story if the neighborhood mob had taken him out lol.

I've seen that story so many times on documentaries, but the first time I read it my jaw fricking dropped.

it was interesting how Diane Feinstein fricked their who investigation up by releasing the evidence to the media.

I know lol. Looked like a neighborhood of all sorts of different people coming together to try to beat the shite out of a scumbag murderer. Most 'Murica thing ever

Just finished it. Big thumbs up for anybody interested in this kind of story.
Btw, I know one of the two cops in the documentary, Gil Carrillo. He retired a little over a decade ago, but he's still a semi god in the Latin communities of East L.A.

Just finished it. I thought it was extraordinarily well produced and I love how the first two episodes were shrouded in mystery. They didn’t say his name or show a photo until the San Francisco detective drug it out of an acquaintance in the back of a car.
I’m just in awe at the complete dearth of regard for human life this person had. I also was touched at how genuinely good a person Gil Carrillo seems like. One of the true “good guys.”

I enjoyed it but I felt like there was too much b-roll filler. Perhaps I just wanted a more technical presentation vs the emotional one they were going for.

I have listened to a few true crime podcast that go more in depth into his childhood/upbringing and holy shite (assuming that the stories are true, as you can never really trust these serial killer types to tell an accurate rendition of their formative years in many cases). But a truly epic POs and sounded like he grew up around equally epic POShits.

Apart from being a Psychopath, he was also a giant pussy who preyed on old ladies and little girls.
When he faced grown men he got his arse kicked.
It began when shoppers at a liquor store reported they saw Ramirez pick up a newspaper, look at his photo on the cover and run, police said.
As residents and police gave chase, Ramirez at one point approached the woman and tried to pull her out of the car, authorities said. Her husband, Manuel, 35, saw what was happening and attacked Ramirez with a fence post. A crowd gathered, and as Ramirez tried to run again, they gave chase. An hour after it started, the mob caught up with Ramirez and began beating him.
Ramirez said "I'm glad the police caught me" because the mob was going to tear him apart.
Fleeing the mob Ramirez ran through a man's backyard and the man stabbed him with barbacue utensils.

yeah I remember hearing the part where he thanked the police when they apprehended him. I didn't realize how far the chase ensued until this recent Netflix documentary though lol I didn't realize they crossed a major interstate. Sucks no-one shot and killed him when he was breaking into a house early on in his pathetic life.

The LA detectives were still pissed at that idiot.

Either way, the fact that the chase occurred is amazing.

How bout the guy who was shot point blank in the head and still chased Ramirez out of his house?

Hated the journalists in this as well.

I'm going to have to try to rewatch this one. Ramirez was so repugnant that I turned it off. Did get an appreciation for the detective and what a good man he is.

That man reached elite baw status. The only thing keeping him from 'Ultimate Baw Status' was that he didn't come up from the bed stand with a .357 and blow a hole in that scumbags head.
This guy and the other night stalker 'micropenis' guy the Golden State Killer or whatever are both possibly two of the vilest pieces of shite to ever walk the planet. I love a good true crime story (from an investigative point of view) but both of these guy's cases are hard to watch. disgusting.
Edit: are there any Dereck Todd Lee, or whatever his name was) documentaries anywhere?
