The Night Stalker documentary on Netflix

It starts a bit slow with the detective’s background story but it’s pretty decent. I dig the true crime shows. That dude was one fricked up individual. It sucks to see how close they were to getting him a couple of times only to see him commit gruesome crimes after they should have caught him.
The silliest part is how they detail him raping and murdering even little kids and still he had groupies showing up at trial, sending him love letters and nude pics etc. wtf

I've seen a few shows featuring Richard Ramirez and you're right, there are some seriously fricked up women in the world that are attracted to guys like this.
Same thing happened when Ted Bundy was on trial many years ago. He'd have women show up in court like he was some kind of celebrity that they admired.
For some unknown reason they apparently didn't realize if given the chance, he'd likely kill them and violate their corpses until they got into rapid decomposition.
As for Ramirez, the cops should have left the gang of people that captured him alone and there wouldn't have been a trial.
The shame of it all is this asswipe was arrested in 85, went to trial and was convicted to 19 death sentences in 88, but died of liver cancer in 2013 at age 53 while in San Quentin Prison in California. He got to live another 25 years after his conviction.

I worked at Angola back in the 90’s. The Ski mask rapist had women from all over the country come to visit him. Some pretty disturbing shite.

The wife and I went to their Prison Rodeo about 20 years ago and had a ball. Those guys are insane to do some of what they do, especially the sitting at the card table when a pissed off bull is turned loose in the arena just for some money in their commissary account.
We watched a couple guys get hauled off on stretchers that day. It was a long drive for us, but worth it for the experience.

The doc did a good job of going in to the gory details of RR's crimes and then turns around and show these idiot groupies fawning over this dude.

Ted Bundy was at least a good looking guy, smart, law student and apparently a ladies man.
Rameriz was uneducated, dropped out of basically middle school with rotten teeth and ugly.

There was real fear portrayed by the media about the Nightstalker...it was like, could you be next?
Police couldn't catch that evil nasty bastard but the public finally did. They should've killed him on the spot when they had the chance.

Unexpectedly binged this last night starting at around 9 pm. I’m pretty used to shows like this, but the crime scene photos and victims really took me to a bad place. Dude was evil incarnate. Had to watch Raw right afterwards to bring me back up.

In 1979 Jon Simonas (Ski Masked Rapist) was the South Louisiana Boogie Man. He was everywhere and under in every shadow. Guy jumped out of a second story window in a court house to escape. Did it while hand cuffed.
