unrelated, but I didn't like that actor in House of Cards and I don't like him in this.
Paul Sparks is great in all the stuff he does. He was awesome as Mickey in Boardwalk Empire.

I thought the sequence at the end was beautiful and a gut punch. Showing the difference between law enforcement & Naz's. The fact is that Box,Stone and even the Sgt have the ability to go home and recharge from this case. Naz's has to live in this environment 24/7.
I believe next week Micheal K Williams character is introduced to Naz. It should be interesting how that plays out.

Not much on advancement of the plot but we got some great character development. Not sure how I feel about the detective, he seems like a good guy though.

I feel bad for Naz. It will be a miracle to prove innocence.

I think the detective is a genuine good person but will use that in his advantage and get Naz to talk ..... And the Jesus did warn him

Nas did it. He just doesn't remember

Just my quick assumptions about E2. The stepfather comes off as a red herring. I get the vibe that his relationship with Andrea was neither good nor bad. Andrea clearly had a drug problem and had "many boyfriends".
Not sure how u can think the stepfather is a red herring but the black dude with bodie wasn't?
Bodies buddy, the undertaker and the motorcyclist will have absolutely nothing to do with the murder. It's much more likely that the stepfather is involved.

Even if he didn't, he behaved like a moronic a-hole afterwards. No sympathy for Nas.

Yeah, he incriminated himself, it the real world he would be rotting in jail for the rest of his life.
They will have to find some real hard evidence to prove his innocence, like someone else's blood at the scene or something.
And I thought last night's episode was great. The detective putting the Harvard shirt on him was a nice touch.

It was clearly mdma which is why they decided to put the smiley face on the pill; to make it obvious.
and you're wrong about good shite disappearing as well. Mdma/Molly is huge nowadays, even more so than 2005. Especially with festivals being such a huge deal now.

quote:Are you talking about Box? If so, he was playing "good cop" in part two. Giving Naz his inhaler & letting his parents speak to him was just a tool to see if Naz would freely open up about the case (Notice when Naz looks at the camera and stops speaking english). It's all an act and Box knew that when Naz said "I'm not talking to you anymore" that he had shutdown on the idea of having a free conversation with him.

quote:Something is a little off about the stepfather. But I don't think he would be capable of violently killing Andrea. This wasn't a simple gunshot wound to the stomach type of murder. This was a violent stabbing in her sleep. The only thing that leaves me scratching my head about Mr.Taylor is the fact that he said it wasn't her to the coroners office and then changed his mind. But that could simply be someone not being able to handle seeing a relative murdered.

Like I said in a previous post, so far his relationship with Andrea seems neither good nor bad. He knows that she has had drug issues, been out of school for a while and has numerous boyfriends. We'll see if he opens up about anything else.

quote:He did some moronic things. But I don't know if anyone in real life would act any different (especially a 20 something who has never been in trouble before). It's extremely easy to say that he shouldn't have run out of the apt in a panic. But Idk how I would react to finding the dead body of a girl that I just slept with. That would frick with my mind big time.
Even if he didn't, he behaved like a moronic a-hole afterwards. No sympathy for Nas.
The biggest mistake he made was taking that knife with him (Which I do not think is the murder weapon). If he doesn't take the knife, he isn't sitting in Rikers right now.

Everyone does realize that this is happening in October of 2014.

Well we know how the girl got that house.
Her mom married a much older, wealthier man then he died and left her the house. Then she remarried the younger guy from Queens and she died from cancer, but left the house to her daughter and not him.
Probably some large inheritance as well, with the way the step-father laughed at the notion of her “working”.
ETA:
Could be a motive for the step-father too...just something to think about.

Also, that is clearly MDMA. Molly has started to fade away and ecstasy pills are back in full force.
Its almost as common as blow is among college kids.

On a different note, I thought it was pretty fricked up for Box to give Naz that Harvard tshirt. Basically lowering a sheep into a pin of hungry lions.

For sure, and my point still stands. The smiley face is supposed to be a dead giveaway as to what drug they were on.

Box is smart as AF.
He knows that shirt will get him fricked with in jail so he is more likely to crack mentally.
I still stand by my thought that Box is eventually the guy that saves Naz's arse. He will believe he's innocent eventually and try to convince everyone of that.
