I still stand by my thought that Box is eventually the guy that saves Naz's arse. He will believe he's innocent eventually and try to convince everyone of that.
Something about Box's facial expression when he found the inhaler & when speaking to the prosecution team makes me believe that he doesn't think Naz did this. But that could just be him playing up the "good cop" role.

Subtle things like Naz saying thank you for the inhaler, and Box's expression after that lead me to believe Box feels Naz may be innocent in his gut. But then the cop in him sees the overwhelming evidence. It will be interesting to see how his character develops in the next couple of episodes.

how about the fact that his inhaler had no blood on it. A kid like Naz wouldn't exactly calmly wash up after violently murdering Andrea.

The biggest mistake he made was taking that knife with him (Which I do not think is the murder weapon). If he doesn't take the knife, he isn't sitting in Rikers right now.
Maybe not right this moment, but they would have found him eventually. His fingerprints were all over the place and he had a parking ticket on his windshield when gets in the cab. So, they have an eye witness who saw the break in and saw a man get into a cab and drive off. And they can place his dad's cab there at the time of the murder. Wouldn't be hard to connect those dots.
If anything, his biggest mistake was forgetting his keys the first time he left. That would have eliminated the eye witness. But the parking ticket may have been enough anyway.

As someone who has been in a holding cell, put in a paddy wagon, brought to real jail, and processed into a cell with cell mates, I can say that they did an excellent job portraying that.
I was an 18 year old private high school kid who had never really been in trouble and I was FREAKED OUT going through that with all those veteran criminals around me. I was getting anxious just watching that part of the episode
Lots of parallels with Naz (although my charges were partying related and all dropped and not murder
)
The suspense and cinematography from this series is excellent. Keeps you on edge the entire time, even when nothing is really happening. And I think all of the acting has been superb (really enjoy Box).

They have made a pretty big deal about his asthma/inhaler. And both Naz and a CSU guy mention allergies to cats. Which makes us thing about her letting her cat out and the gate not shutting behind her. This show does a good job of having the camera hang on to something that they think is important. Some will surely be red herrings, though.
Back to the inhaler--it could have just been used for character development for both Naz and Box. Showing Naz as weak and Box using it to manipulate him(Subtle Beast). But it seems like they've focused on it so much, that it may be more germane to the plot than that. I hope it doesn't wind up being that the medicine, combined with MDMA produces psychological breaks/blackouts and Naz did it. It would be anticlimactic if it winds up being an episode of Law and Order.

My only gripe is that the needle wasn't moved on the plot line.

I think Box just doesn't understand the "why". Kid doesn't fit the facts. But he's relying on the overwhelming evidence.
Here's something interesting. If you look at IMDB, Bill Camp (the guy who plays Box) is only listed as being in 2 episodes.

Giving Naz his inhaler
I thought this was more to show that he might have needed his inhaler while going to stabtown on the girl, but I've misread things a lot.

I'd wait and see. Sometimes the admins on IMDB update the tv show page.
Posted on 7/18/16 at 12:33 pm to JBeam
That has to be the case because it also only has Naz in for 2 episodes

This is exactly what I told Mrs. Mule. I got a DWI in college (huge mistake I know) while driving home from the bar. The language, the flow of the processing area, the side conversations and general behavior of the cops and other inmates. All of it rings true.

He's in the entire series. The guys at the Ringer Podcast have already seen the series and they were discussing his performance.

Things that have stood out to me through two episodes:
Ep 1
The black limo driver at the gas station
The guy walking with Bodie
The chain of custody for the DNA
Ep 2
The inhaler
The stepdad (WTF???)

like someone else's blood at the scene or something.
The foreshadowing of the DA wanting to wait on the blood makes me think they will find someone else's.

What if you look at it from the viewpoint that the show will eventually be much more focused on the actions of Stone and Box than on Naz himself?
ETA: Didn't mean that to come off so open-ended and vague. Naz has been denied bail and sent to Rikers. Going forward, nothing will really change or be revealed with his character except through his lawyer or the investigation no? I just wonder what his role becomes at this point other than a subplot about prison abuse or something.

Nas is also listed for 2 episodes. I wouldn't worry about how many each character are in.

Also, that is clearly MDMA. Molly has started to fade away and ecstasy pills are back in full force.
I love the direction this thread has gone.
The above statement is very true, in Los Angeles, what used to be called E or X are now called euro pills. Thank god (euro)ecstasy pills are back because Molly capsules fricking suck.
