just stuck to the murder case...it's far more captivating and enticing.
I don't know why networks think we need all these social commentaries and metaphorical shite (eczema plot line). Just give us an intricate murder mystery, don't stray too far off with subplots, and 99% of the people will be happy.
Edit- I'm fine with some metaphors, I actually really like the cat one, but sometimes it can get excessive
I don't dislike social commentary either, I just don't like how the show presented itself as a complex murder mystery in episode 1, and then does a complete 180 the next 2 episodes.

The Indian chick will quit and join Stone as Naz new defense team.
There's about a 99.999% chance of that happening. I can see Chandra becoming the sword and Stone the shield. Stone may prove to be a better investigator than attorney.

I am sick and tired of the jail/prison storyline and can't help but roll my eyes at the Freddy/Omar storyline of him being this all powerful prisoner. Unfortunately, since Naz just accepted his offer for help, I don't think it's going away anytime soon.
The Omar all-powerful thread is a bit eye-rolling, but I really enjoy the fact that they are exploring jail (not prison) in telling the story. I think most people don't realize just how much time you spend in those circumstances when you are still presumed innocent. It's a deeply flawed system.
My question is why did not one but two bruthas sort of take Naz under their wing? (and related question: was the first one Sticky Fingaz or not? It doesn't show up on his IMDB page.) If it's supposedly so dangerous to be seen with him, then what potential gain are they taking that risk for? Also, was the guy who scalded him setting him up the whole time?

I think the scalding guy may have been a setup by Freddy. If that guy really wanted to mess Naz up he could have done it easily at another time. Plus he told Naz about the scalding trick beforehand so Naz would have time to see it coming and block it. After scalding guy Naz realizes he can't trust anyone and goes to Freddy.

That seems plausible except for the look on the guy's face when Naz went back to the booth and requested the meeting with Freddy.

I think that guy is just fricked in the head really. Carries around murder pics of his niece

I really don't want to see this. An associate quits her job at a top ny law firm to work for a bum like stone on a case just because the defendant is the same religion as her.
I have a feeling u might be right though.

The prison scenes are inducing eye rolling moments. At this point, I just hope the shows reveals that Naz did in fact kill her.

I think you guys have missed a possible nuance. It says that the associate speaks Hindi to Naz's family. However, they are Pakistani, which means they probably speak Urdu. There is an ongoing disupte as to which is the "real" one. All of which is to say it's not clear at all that the associate is moslem herself. If anything, it's intended to show the partner as being ham-fisted in her effort to show some kind of knowing solidarity with the family...by bringing in an Indian to talk to Pakistanis.

I was just using a generality.... The first scene in which we meet the associate, the partner asks where her parents are from, and ends the conversation with something along the line of .... "Uhhh, close enough".
But thank you for the further explanation as to the differences between the associate and nas.

Oh yeah! I forgot about that. I guess that really supports the notion that she is ham-fisted in her attempt to invoke race.

Yeah, he incriminated himself, it the real world he would be rotting in jail for the rest of his life.
They will have to find some real hard evidence to prove his innocence, like someone else's blood at the scene or something.
OJ says hey.

Just watched all of the episodes yesterday and it's pretty captivating. It may have already been discussed in here (haven't read the whole thread), but did anyone catch the black guy telling Detective Box that he was alone when he saw Naz and Andrea?
It's odd to me that all through this time Naz hasn't mentioned seeing those guys. Unless he truly doesn't remember the encounter or thinks it didn't matter much. I think any sober person would think to say hey, this black guy was staring at me very suspiciously after I called he and his friend out for talking shite about me.

Gotta say I'm loving this show other than one small fact.....
STOP SHOWING THAT DUDE'S NASTY MOTHERfrickING DISEASED FEET!!!!
Seriously, why even have that in the show? It has nothing to do with the story and is just feaking nasty.

I'm starting to think someone who produced this show has a dick and foot fetish. Between the rotting feet, BBC and John grabbing his cock on Viagra somebody is fricked up
