She's 12. An aggressive move for sure at that age. But i'll mention it to her.

She will need good credit to rent her own place

All your movies are belong to the ATL. We've taken Pitch Perfect from the LSU campus, all Marvel movies, and in 2017, we're taking down NY for 2nd place only to CA.

There is a reason marvel has set up shop in Fayetteville and at Pinewood Studios

I was amazed at the number of jobs that Marvel is creating by itself. If DC got their shite straight they might bring unemployment down

Not sure where y'all are getting your intel but I've worked in the film industry for 5 years now and while the last year wasn't great I haven't had more than a week off since I got into this game. Everyone I talk to says the same thing, 2017 is going to be big.

What the tax credit cap did was get rid of the big movies. They'd normally come in and eat up a large chuck of the pie with one movie. Now instead one movie eating up $30 mill in credits, those credits are spread over 5-10 movies. This keeps wayyy more people employed. I was against the bill initially but it was created to spur economic growth in the industry via smaller movies and so far that's been the case.

Nothing is set in stone but I like the direction everything is headed.

Don't take for granted the draw New Orleans has over Atlanta too... people want to come here. No one likes Atlanta.

Don't call it a comeback. They've been here for years.

We have heard the business is down 90%. And that seems right. People in the business: What are you hearing? Is there any chance of a comeback or did Jindal screw the pooch beyond recovery?

As long as there is a cap in place it will never be what it was in 2014, nor should it. We can't afford it.

Georgia's program is a disaster waiting to happen. The fraud in Louisiana is nothing compared to what is going on there, and they don't have anything in place to detect it. On top of that literally no one wants to shoot there.

Enjoy the Hollywood welfare program. It was a terrible program for the taxpayers of Louisiana. It's like hiring a whore to go to prom with you and running around bragging to your friends about how hot this chick you are banging was.

Again .... it's not dead and is very busy in New Orleans. As long as the existing credits stay in place the state will continue to be a destination for television and film. Georgia has become oversaturated and you will see films return gradually because of the overflow and returning confidence of the incentive. But for now there is plenty of tv work to keep all the local crew working

It may not be dead but it is not employing the same number of people that once was. I know lots of people who worked in the industry in all different aspects and they are almost all looking for work now and have been for a while. It wasn't that long ago that they were booked non-stop on project after project. So there may still be stuff going on in Nola but there are a ton of people no longer employed by the industry thanks to the cut backs.

Doesn't look like it's gonna recover. My work in La has dropped by about 80-90% so I'm working mostly in other states now. Most people in the biz had to relocate to Georgia and Cali. Georgia is making a killing and they plan on keeping the industry for good. As a result I doubt La will fully recover.

I was in AHS (2 episodes), PP2, Zipper & Search Party. Moved away but still get casting notices. They have slowed down considerably.

That's what the petrochemical business is about in La- massively underpricing the state's resources, requiring the taxpayers to pay the price of externalities, and massive subsidies also financed by the taxpayers. And with petrochemical the white collar jobs still go to Texas (just like the executive jobs in movies stayed in California).
