The most likely way Endgame will go

They go find Thanos at the beginning of the film with Marvel and kill him but don’t reverse the snap. They can’t deal with this and neither can Stark who wasn’t there to kill Thanos. They go back in time via quantum realm to Avengers 1 to stop Thanos in his tracks there but fail. They go forward to the events of Infinity War and Thor delivers the killing blow, aiming for the head this time. If you look closely there’s a moment in the trailer with Thor floating in the air holding and looking at strombreaker in Wakanda. These trailers may be fake news but that’s beat guess based on what we know.

They fight Thanos early on and lose again. Ant man shows up, they use the quantum realm, and stop Thanos from acquiring all 6 stones. Then a final battle with everyone involved. Cap and Tony die, the rest survive. The end.

That’s the chalk but again looking at the trailers the moment where Thor is clearly in the air looking at storm breaker makes me think he kills Thanos. Maybe it’s trailer misdirection, could easily still see Cap and Tony die in that scenario but somehow doubt they will kill both. If they have time travel why not drop Cap off in 1946?

I think it's a near certainty both die. Those actors are ready to move on. Cap is a goner, but maybe they'll have tony ride off into the sunset with Pepper and his baby. I'll say he dies, though.

Cap and Stark die. Thor and Hulk ride off to build a new Asgard with the survivors along with Korg and Valkryie.
Spider-Man, Black Panther, Marvel and Strange all retreat to their respective corners but have a nod-nod, wink-wink agreement to team up again in the future.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how they handle the return of these characters. We know spidey, bp, and strange have sequels coming up. Do they end up in alternate universes or something different? This could be the divisive portion of the film

What it unenhanced cap wields stormbreaker, or they go back in time and somehow he encounters Thor and somehow worlds mjolnir. That would be sweet

I doubt both Cap and Tony will die. I can see Cap making the sacrifice play because that would complete his arc. Now Tony may retire, because I doubt RDJr. would be happy with knowing there is zero chance he gets another $40-50 million dollar payday.

Nah, I think everybody that got snapped out (and Gamora) are for real coming back.
The snap is getting reversed. The only question is how many among the unsnapped have to die to make it happen.

They go back in time and destroy the stones before Thanos can get them so the snap never happens. Ant Man goes up Thanos' arse just because.

Antman uses the quantam realm and the team is able to go back in time to prevent Thanos from assembling all 6 stones.
Final battle ensues. They are in a losing situation. Antman decides to take 1 for the team. He goes up Thanos anus, and expands to giantman. Killing both himself and Thanos.
Antman is forever remembered as the savior of the universe.

While they're doing this Cap realizes that he can go back the original first avenger movie and decides to stay rather than fight Thanos again. He is able to go on his date, but more importantly convinces Bucky not to go on that train where he eventually died and that testing never takes place for him to become Winter Soldier.
Instead, Rogers convinces Bucky that he should take the Captain America reigns. While Rogers puts in early work on creating Shield.
Flash to future with Rogers dying and passing the mantle as leader of Shield to Fury, who is now better equipped to handle whatever is thrown their way in future MCU movies.

I don’t think Stark will die, I think Rob will take a more diminished role in the universe though. Do cameos and shite like that.
