Star Wars: Rebels says "Hi". There isn't a one hour long stretch of anything as good as the last two episodes of season 2 anywhere on D+.

I guarantee there will be several posters asking how Grogu ended back up with Mando in this thread tomorrow.
are you saying we have to go watch a different show in order to know what’s happening in this show? I’m all for complex storylines, but I’m not going to lie that is annoying. Anybody willing to catch those of us who didn’t watch the Boba Fett show?

In one of the Boba Fett episodes, Din Djarin travels to the planet where Luke is training Grogu. Luke realizes that Grogu still is attached emotionally to him, so Luke gives Grogu a choice between taking a light saber symbolizing the Jedi path, or beskar chainmail that Djarin gave to Luke to give him symbolizing the Mandalorian path (the chainmail was made from melting down the beskar spear that he had). Grogu chooses the chainmail so Luke returns him to Djarin to follow the Mandalorian path.

But with that said, you really need to watch the last three episodes of Boba Fett. Watching Luke training Grogu was pretty cool, plus we got some Luke and Ahsoka interactions. They are basically the first three episodes of this season, or at least a bridge to this season.

Episode 1 was alright. It wasn’t long enough to really get too exciting.

Pretty eh first episode. Can’t believe they let the reunion happen in Boba Fett. That show sucked, and its quality paled in comparison to what we see in Mandalorian.

Wish they would’ve built up the initiation ceremony with a bit more lore. Was it known that monster was there? Is that part of the risk the newly initiated take by being in the water, or was it a surprise that he showed up?

Also, is the Boca Tan chick a different actress? They look similar but slightly different. Idk if she got work done, but it doesn’t look exactly like her.

Same actress. She also voiced Bo Katan in Clone Wars and Rebels, too.

Crazy it took until Mando to get legit space dog fighting scenes after the D Trilogy was bereft of them. What shite movies.

That episode looked damn good. And Katie Sackoff still looks finer than frog hair.

Still eh on Grogu being back. I don’t get what the loan will,be going forward with him.

not to bad of a first episode, I will definitely be watching from here on out.

Spoiler I guess

Did anyone else think the opening scene was a flashback of Mando getting his helmet?

Anyone else get a “dorks at a sci-fi convention” vibe from the opening?

Also, though the scene fits the comic tone of the show, it’s concerning to me that they included Babu Fricks. My hopes of a sequel trilogy retcon are fading…

Yes, but do you know who that kid is? Some nerds on YouTube thought he seemed out of place and looked like some important person's kid, and was there as a favor.

He is. He's Jimmy Kimmel's kid. God, I hope that isn't a bad sign, for such people to have friends on this show.

Watching episode 5 of Boba Fett now, this is literally a Mandalorian episode with extremely important back story and plot development. Why is this in a Boba Fett show

$$$

It would be mediocre at best without Mando.

It’s basically Mandalorian Season 2.5 as someone said before.

That is a bad sign. The kid seemed out of place. But so did the other dweebs in the scene. Maybe Andor raised the bar and I’m being overly nitpicky on realism for my space cowboys show. I don’t know. It just felt kind of theme-parkish.

(I understand it’s all product created to sell more product and a corporate, soulless shadow of the originals. But dammit, I’m gonna keep hoping for the magic of the originals.)

Yeah you’re nitpicking imo. Mando is great television and great Star Wars.

Really wish they hadn’t ditched the WWE chick, Gina Carano or whatever her name was. She was a good character and would’ve fit in well in this episode.

This was probably the weakest episode of the entire series

It was like a completely different show. It didn’t have the structure or rhythm of the first two seasons. Very strange
