Yea, it was very telling that the best Book of Boba episodes were just Mandalorian season 2.5 basically. And they were some GREAT ones too. I like Fett and wanna see him pop up in stories, but what I really want now is more Din Djarin and his crew.

I love this show. It makes happy in a way no other show really does.

It sucks that they only dropped one episode, which is only 37 mins long, including the credits and all.

I would suggest watching the last 3 episodes at least.

I enjoyed it. Lots of action and old faces.

SPOILERS:

What did Grogu see during lightspeed? Creatures traveling that fast? or squid-like bio-ships? or Force entities/apparitions?

Interesting enough.

I think I would just chill out with Apollo Creed on the planet.

So now the Watch offshoot is the primary Mandalorian force?

Good episode but a few things just show how stubborn Mando is.

I believe they were the same creatures Ezra road through hyperspace with back in Rebels…curious tie-in

They're called Purrgil and they can travel through hyperspace. I can almost guarantee an Ahsoka cameo this season and she might mention Ezra, which will lead into her spin-off.

Good episode. Looking forward to this season. Visual effects were top notch per usual.

Mando is still that dude and I really liked the aerial combat scene towards the end with the pirates. Mando is lethal in that new jet he’s got.

Purrgil. Remember, in the Mando episode featuring Ahsoka where she fights the Magistrate she asks the Magistrate where Grand Admiral Thrawn is. Presumably, she asked this because she’s still searching for Ezra. So the appearance of the Purrgil makes sense.

When Boba came out someone on this board made a great point that Mando was basically everything we wanted to see from Boba for years. But since Mando came out first, they had to take Boba in a different direction and he just wasn't the character we had envisioned for the most part.

Exactly right. Kennedy had the power back then to say she wanted new characters. So Dave and Jon invented a new Mandalorian character and basically made him Boba Fett from the Expanded Universe. Kennedy and their crew was so uninformed of Star Wars lore that they did not realize many of the Mandalorian stories comes right out of the Boba Fett books. Din Djarin is Bobba Fett from the EU, that is why most of the OT fans like the show so much.

I'm also wondering if we get a Sabine sighting before the Ahsoka series debuts.

I was half expecting Bo Katan's castle to be Clan Wren.

Good episode to start.

****Spoilers****

I half expected the little Mandolorian helmet to be for Grogu.

Loved how he popped up when Mando landed.

Was the pirate ship a hammerhead cruiser? I couldn't tell in the show, but it sure looked like one in the credit storyboards.

Yeah. I'm going to ask cause boba's show got stale real fast and I never finished it. And I'm not going to go back and watch it either so someone give the cliff notes.

I guarantee there will be several posters asking how Grogu ended back up with Mando in this thread tomorrow.

I wondered that in the Super Bowl Sunday trailer. I had no intention of ever watching Boba Fett, but I guess I will have to now.

LINK

He is definitely somebody who has spent time in both worlds. We know that he started off earlier in the Jedi Temple. We've seen flashbacks to that speak to that. And then we know that he's been rescued and spent many years with the Mandalorian. [He] went back with Luke, and now we've been two years apart from him, there, training...

So Grogu has been away from Din for 2 years training with Luke Skywalker. Interesting. So basically Grogu did not decide to leave Luke but has been training and then left. Is that what Jon means?

It would explain how Nevarro advanced so rapidly. But it would also make Bo two years older. She's gotta be a GILF at this point.
