Also, if I could only see one in the theater, which should it be?
Can't beat Battle of Helm's Deep and seeing trees kicking arse so I would say the second one.

They had breaks, unlimited popcorn and drinks and pizza. And I figured they would order 1 slice per person but they actually had lots of pizza.
I bet the price would be 5 times as much now. I don't remember it being very expensive.

IIRC it was only like $25. Complete steal.
I thought you had to buy the pizza/concessions though, but maybe not.

Not the one at Nola Clearview. Now maybe they had different tickets but I had free refills on popcorn and soft drinks. Pretty sure I snagged 2 pieces of pizza and I think they had some leftover. Even for the time, I think the price was more than worth it.
Looks like each AMC theater had different options. Some had $1 popcorn and drinks. Some had prepaid options. Some had so gifts they gave out.

I think maybe some shite was included, but not everything. I'll have to see if my cousins remember better than me.
We were at Tinseltown in Baton Rouge.

I completely forgot that I got one of these.

I went and saw The Fellowship of the Ring extended edition at the Elmwood AMC a couple of summers ago. It was an all day event but definitely worth it.

Just watched Fellowship EE with the family last night… first time for my 14 yr old. Wow does it hold up well. It’s amazing how much better it looks than most of what's put out today.
Our plan is to see Two Towers in theaters in a few weeks. Cannot wait.

One does not simply forget they have cells from LOTR movies.
Very nice.

I loved the 2 extended editions plus the early release of Return of the King they did at AMC theaters.
I did this as well, but the first one started at midnight. Luckily a short intermission between starts and the theater had a restaurant so real food if needed.

The night The Return of the King was released, I went to a marathon where they played the EE of Fellowship, 30 min intermission, EE of Two Towers, 30 min intermission, then midnight showing of Return of the King.
Worth every second & penny!!
