I watched the first 2 episodes of season 1 and I am having a hard time getting into it. Does it stay this slow?
Season 1 is hit/miss at first....episode 3 is fantastic. The final 4 episodes of the season are much, much better than the first few. I'd stick with it and at least finish the first season.
Season 2 is like a totally different show (in a good way).
Season 3, so far, is also like a totally different show compared to season 2.
It's like three shows in one but it gets better and better. I'm kind of stunned at how different the series has turned out compared to the first 5 episodes.

Season 1 is easily the weakest but it picks up right at episode 3 so you should start to see the potential there.
S2 and 3 so far have been outstanding.

There is no way they can wrap up even 1/4 of what has taken place in the show. They haven't answered a single question to any of these mysteries in 25 episodes.
This isn't LOST. They said from the beginning we won't get many "answers" and that's how they are writing it.
The entire season 2 theme song is literally called "Let the mystery be"

My wife and I almost gave up on it halfway through season 1 and then a switch was flipped
Like others have said, season 1 isn't even the same show compared to 2 and 3 for me
If you watched breaking bad, it's like comparing season 1 to 4 and 5

The season one finale may be the best episode of any show I've ever seen.

In Season 2 Episode 3, we learn more about Burton from a news broadcast on TV. The broadcaster talks about a resurrection claim coming out of Australia, where a man that witnesses said was dead came out of a cave in Wanneroo, just outside of Perth, now alive. Witnesses said he “walked out covered in mozzie bites, saying he’d just been in a hotel.”
So this eludes to the idea that Burton also visited a hotel on the other side when he died, just like Kevin. Later in the same episode, a publisher talking to Laurie said that the man believed he couldn’t die.
fuuuuuuuuuuck

ETA:: maybe this show is a prequel for Godzilla.

Wondering if that was David Burtons twin who got mauled by the lion? David is calm throughout the entire episode and then once confronted by the cops freaks out? Made me wonder when rewatching.

Another wtf episode, but I believe I enjoyed it more than many. Matt crisis of faith episode with far reaching implications/realizations for himself & others? Riveting scene conversing with Burton/God.

watched it again and i love how after the guy get mauled by a lion, Matt just turned around unfazed and says, "thats the guy i was telling you about."
Lol
Also, re watched International Assassins for the 3rd time and that might be a top 3 episode of TV ive ever seen.

There is definitely a twin that will come in to play a huge part IMO. Will it be Burton's? I think so. But it was too on the nose about Jesus dying and his "twin" etc. Burton most likely has/had a twin.

Maybe. Or maybe after the initial craziness of his conversation with fake-God-celebrity, Matt was blasted with a whole lot of truth. He might even recognizes that almost everything he accused fake God of, Matt is actually doing himself, except projecting it on Kevin. Matt has been forced to face his own spiritual pride...and that is a hard pill to swallow.
Ah, thanks for the perspective.
I was initially struck by the seeming double meaning of that last line, what with "god" dying in the background. But you're right, on review, Matt appears properly humbled by the rebuke. Burton snapped him right out of it.
It's interesting, Matt affirmed to the captain that he doesn't have pressing business in Melbourne. Looks like he'll lay off Kevin and head home with the pilot after he visits Nora. Try to fix things with Mary..

I like the editing of the scene where Burton looked up and ran. Was he responding to the cops, or rather to sound of the chains being cut on Frasier's cage?
If it's the latter and he was drawing Frasier away to save lives, how is that reconciled to the fact that he killed a man earlier? They'd have to revisit the issue of the body. Like maybe having Matt confirm that it is the man he saw, but then having the medical examiner say that the man had been dead too long for Burton to have killed him when Matt said he did. Meaning that Burton had caused Matt to see something that wasn't there. I dunno.

Im in the minority on this board, but to me the answer is yes. it does stay just as slow as the first few episodes. Every episode feels like an hour to me.
However, I will say this, the show is brilliantly done. Very good acting and very interesting overall. The music is spot on in every episode.

Random thought: Matt talks as if Kevin is basically immortal in Miracle but nowhere else. If Durant is doing the same thing somewhere else, what does that mean?

Can't wait to watch for an hour and be more confused than when the show started.
