Sorry, did not like last night's episode. The whole thing was about turning the President. This show is not a character driven show, or a highly dramatic show, it is a popcorn, action type of show. They should stick with the formula that works.

I could not disagree with this more. Where is it written that a show or a movie can only be 1 or the other? I would argue the best popcorn movies are the ones that do have characters of depth and good stories. If all the show was a series or action sequences (fights, explosions, chases) strung together it would be awful. Last night set up the potential for a great next couple of episodes because they took time to build a little depth to the POTUS character.

I was waiting for him to close the door to his new quarters, pick up a radio or get on the computer or whatever and tell the Irish guys.. OK, I'm in. My wife said I was stupid... that would be too obvious.

Exactly, that's one possibility, that he's just acting like he's going along but will betray the NJ down the line. All kinds of possibilities for the next couple of episodes and (sadly ) the begining of next season.

I thought this show didn't have much interest on this board. Surprised to see a fair bit of activity in this thread.

Anyway, this season has been great and defintely has not dissapointed at all. One of my favorite things is that this show is keeping character development to a minimum and only done when it's needed to advance the overall plot of the season and we saw that with POTUS last episode. The good guys just got back the key to the gov't and maybe they can finally access the White House bunker but I don't know if that's technologically possible.

I love seeing naval warfare in action and spec ops doing their thing. It's one of the biggest draws of this show. But I can't help but wonder what it would be like with an Iowa class battleship or an aircraft carrier even if it's just an amphibious carrier.

Btw, the Australian is pretty bad arse and that's that kind of bod you work hard in the gym for. He and the Israeli chick are great additions.

For some reason, I thought they got one of those at some point. I was thinking I saw it in a preview of the entire season. I'm probably mixing up preview for shows and movies and what not, though, and am wrong.

I mean, even Expendables had to have some sort of character development. Albeit minimal.

The episode was a good change of pace, what the president "for" his kids was pretty tough to say the least, interesting twist.....As mentioned, this episode sets the remainder of the season up for several possibilites

Thought it was a very good episode, some plot development with action mixed in. I like that i questioned whether the kids could be trusted or not, thought that was a nice twist with the kid Ray, was he setting up the NJ or not? Ending was a but poetic justice for sure, but does raise some great moral type questions to chew on. I'm looking forward to them getting to New Orleans.

Yeah I didn't see that ending coming. But that guy really didn't have any significance anymore. I still don't trust the president guy. I have a feeling he's going to attempt to double cross the NJ. Overall good season so far. I was glad the fanatic immune community guy was killed with the harpoon.

From the previews for next week's episode it looks like that will one of the big plot points. I mean is killing the person responsible for the outbreak in order to create a way to spread the cure justifiable? Does the NJ & the new president have to hold her responsible for making a unilateral decision like that? I really like that they went there with this plot point.

Bump for last nights episode. Pretty intense with the investigation and the Immunes attacking the civilians and blaming it on the NJ. Also hints that info is coming from the ship, is POTUS involved? Someone else? One of the prisoners? I thought it was great the way Chandler pointed out to Rachel that Nils could have helped expose the Ramseys. Should be a great last couple of episodes, but heading for another cliff hanger

And amazing Navy discipline by Burk with that Isreali woman

I didn't catch the part where it hinted info could be coming from the ship, of course I don't follow this show as intently as a would a show like GoT.

I thought the propoganda clip the Ramseys put together was horrible. Seriously, I would like to know how they filmed that footage of the NJ firing her weapons (while they were trying to avoid the sub missiles) the way they did. Did they have some drone flying about 50 yards to the starboard side of ship in perfect filming position? And nobody noticed this? Plot hole, I get it, this show is popcorn and I shouldn't get hung up on it but come on.

Also, it is quite the leap that Americans would blindly follow or buy into some brits propaganda that he has been spewing and turn on the U.S. Navy. I guess I am having a hard time with suspending belief on that point. I'm not believing some limey brit.

Anybody know if that bluetooth tech can be boosted like that for communications? I would like to be able to walk more than 10 feet away from my stereo without my music cutting out.

I think they are going off the deep end with the tech stuff just like they did the virus and medical stuff, but it was still entertaining. This show has been a pleasant surprise.

I thought that too, I think it's a fantastic idea to set Nathan James up like that in theory, but in actuality how did they actually pull off the filming?....But it's not going to ruin the show for me

Man I don't know how in the hell Burke resisted the Israeli chick...I'd have told Chandler it's okay man she's not in the Navy!

I'd have to watch it again, but i thought they said something about a signal coming from the ship and or being hacked or something (does the ship have cameras filming that? IDK I can let that slide but Burk turning down that hot Isreali asking where they can have sex? now that's stretching my credibility

worth a month in the stockade or whatever Navy discipline they want to met out, I'm mean are the going to give him a dishonorable discharge at this point? No chance. I mean i get the theme of the episode was the need to keep the civil structure in a time of crisis, but wait til we get to NOLA

How many episodes are left? 2 or 3?

Can't wait to see how they resolve this... and if they'll somehow let Rachel back into their good graces. This has turned out to me, to be a really good show. Somebody on the ship has to be working with the immunes, don't they? My money's still sort of on the President.
