All they focused on after Dina learned Ellie was immune was her pregnancy
They also covered how Dina's mom oppressed her homosexuality as a child. What a shitty mom...

I guess I have to ask but did these two lez out in the game?
Last 15 mins or so was complete cringe. I don’t understand why they have to force shite like that. Every fricking show I watch now has some type of LGTBQ storyline.

They're supposed to be quiet and careful to not attract attention. But Dina starts playing the drums and Ellie gives her performance
They’re laying low, so they start up a concert at the music store.
They’re being chased and shot at by WLF so they willingly enter a confined space because they can fit, WLF can’t. They’re in the narrow straight confined tunnel and WLF approaches 5-10 seconds later and for some reason decides to stop shooting at them. All they’d have to do is spray into the tunnel and Ellie and Dina are dead to rights.
I’m immune, I’m pregnant… therefore, let’s frick.
When they hear the bombing outside between WLF and Scar, they both run to the rooftop completely unarmed. They just left everything on the floor, trusting that nothing could have made it to the roof recently. People that are getting shot at and chased by mutant zombies, don’t act like that.
And then the show runners in the after show are completely oblivious to their nonsense.
I’m only watching now to see how stupid it gets. I’m like posters above, I’d rather watch a show about WLF and Scar.

And I love how clean they always look

Yeah
It wont be a huge story arc though. This isn't a love story

said the same thing about TWD. no food, water or shelter but, the women were clearly wearing tons of makeup. Andreas for one stands out.

The other one that bugs me is ammo. They had fricking target practice in one episode. We are 20 years out from the world ending and we have enough ammo to waste anumch on target practice?
My wife is a nurse and it bugs the shite out of her that they still have medicine. IDK if she is correct but she doesn't think any would be left after 20 years.

That would make a huge difference for ammo and medical supplies being able to last 20+ years. There are many stockpiles of both, but they need to be replenished regularly due to our population. If only 5/10% of the population remains, raiding 1-2 stockpiles of everything could last last you a couple of years depending on size of the tribe.

Both of these things (medicine and ammunition) are supposed to be scarce. They haven’t done a great job of illustrating that, although they’ve tried at times. I think the scene with Dina searching through a cabinet for meds was intended to show this, but it’s not really enough.
One thing that’s easily missed in the show is that the people of Jackson are living much differently than most of the world. Most people outside the quarantine zones are dead at this point. Those who aren’t dead are mostly scavengers, and could die at any moment if they wind up in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Inside the quarantine zones, life isn’t exactly great. Resources are scarce and are controlled by FEDRA (see: Boston in S1) or by whatever rebel group has replaced FEDRA (see: Seattle in S2). Whatever ideals/goals initially drove these groups are long gone. Now they’re all just trying to survive, mostly.
Jackson is a utopia in comparison. The show hints at this when Abby (or someone in her crew) makes a comment about how they even have working power lines. They’ve managed to build a functioning, civilized town while just about everywhere else is a dystopian nightmare in one way or another. Many of their luxuries are a result of organized resource collection and management. There are relatively few of them compared to the pre-apocalyptic population, so they’re able to sustain themselves through strategic supply runs on top of growing/hunting their own food.
Again, the show has tried to illustrate all of this but it’s missed the mark IMO. One of the problems is that they spent over a third of the season in Jackson, so you’re just now getting the contrast with Seattle. And there should probably still be more scarcity in Jackson than the show lets on (again, IMO).

It's always been my biggest concern for this season. The game is very violent. Can you make that believable in live action with 2 tiny girls that look like teenagers?
The game is very violent but it’s all (mostly anyway) about stealth. Running into a big firefight head-on generally results in instant death.
I don’t expect each episode to be 45 minutes of Ellie sneaking around grabbing headshots, but I think that mentality can translate to live action if executed properly.
So far what we are seeing is kind of the opposite. They aren’t particularly stealthy at all, and they don’t seem to care very much about it despite a little bit of dialog that might indicate otherwise. The closest we’ve seen is them hiding behind some desks and praying for a miracle rather than being strategic.

also, without posting spoilers, can someone remind me that differences between the WLF and Fedra?
FEDRA was the US government agency responsible for running the quarantine zones. I think it meant Federal Emergency Disaster Response Agency or something along those lines. Think of them like a cross between FEMA and the National Guard.
Eventually the federal government collapsed and FEDRA were on their own in the various quarantine zones. As things got worse, they became more authoritarian. Rebel groups like the Fireflies and WLF appeared as a result.

What are you basing this on? Are you saying their “love story” to date is the same as what’s presented in the game? From what I’ve read it’s been sweetened up quite a bit in comparison. Based on that alone not sure how you can assume their “love story” won’t be a huge story arc going forward. And I’m not just referring to the sex.

For the most part yeah the sex scene happens at different times.

Eh quite a bit is definitely a reach but there are some differences

To be fair that seems to be the problem with a lot of post apocalyptic shows and movies

Uh this part absolutely needed to happen considering it's the entire catalyst for what happens in the season

Lol this show is just a comedy Bella and Dina getting their grove on after she is Bitten and Dina tells her she is pregnant. I didn't love him now put your hand down my pants. Jesus another apocalyptic gay love story.
Hopefully the next episode is better then this one.

Episode 4 was another snoozer mostly. Show is headed downhill. We need more action

Ellie being pissed and calling Dina a burden after finding out she’s pregnant is a pretty big difference than the show. At least the original reaction, while harsh, showed her commitment to avenging Joel’s death. That “love story” has now taken a back seat to something very very different.
Posted on 5/6/25 at 5:28 am to WestSideTiger
If bella actually gave a shite about dina she would be pissed that dina put herself and her unborn child at risk going on this “mission”. But her only reaction is the absolutely ridiculous comment about being a dad? Beyond stupid! The writing is terrible and so is bella’s acting.
