Tbh they could’ve easily shaved off the last 40 minutes of the movie and made it a better product

I’m gonna watch it, but any time I watch a movie much over 2 hours I mentally edit it while watching.

“That 3 minute dance scene at the wedding would not be missed. And how long do we have to watch this car drive down the road? We get it. They’re headed to LA. Okay, this kid’s birthday party has gone way past its limit of being interesting.”

Just finished it. Read the book when it first came out and I have to say this is a great movie to go along with it. Very plausible explanation of the disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa. Very sad on how his criminal activities impacted his relationship with his oldest daughter (which was not covered in the book). Did not mind the length of the movie at all.

I think it was awesome. This is probably our last one with these guys, and really couldn’t ask for better.

Couldn't sleep so turned it on, then I couldn't turn it off. Great movie.

In the beginning they keep showing shots of her just staring at him which I found odd until later I realized she was figuring out the her dad wasn't exactly the "most morally fit" father in the neighborhood. Had to be hard to realize your dad was an enforcer in the mob.

The last 40 minutes were pretty critical in reinforcing Scorsese's message.

What was the message? Cosa Nostra?

I haven't watch the extra commentary yet.

Easily the best movie of the year.

Hopefully they cut out the grocery store scene when they release it on Blu Ray / DVD.

One does not simply wrap up in 10 minutes what takes 70 plus years to create!

Near great film. Not on a Goodfellas or even Casino level.

Depressing to watch the grocer scene knowing what it would’ve looked like in an 80’s or 90’s Scorsese movie.

Drawn out, but not overly long.

The de-aging was a minor distraction.

The makeup and acting as they reached death was outstanding.

Pesci deserves an Oscar nom. And I say that with zero nostalgia attached.

Watched it this morning ... was surprised by how good it actually is.

Great all star cast.

Pesci knocks it outta the park. Pacino was excellent as well.

Really enjoyed this. I smiled at the opening tracking shot set to In the Still of the Night. Classic Scorsese.

Pesci was the star for sure. He definitely needs an Oscar nod.

Pacino was good, but Nicholson’s Hoffa is a gold standard that will never be approached. I couldn’t help thinking about that the whole time.

What's so funny? There is nothing wrong with that opinion.
