The Irishman

Just a reminder that it's available on Netflix now. Midway through it now and enjoying it for the most part. I'll go more in depth when I finish.

I’ll watch it tonight. Looking forward to it.

Thank you JJ for the heads up. I’ll definitely watch it tonight.

He could be one of those people that can multitask.

I'll probably have to split it up over 2 nights. 3 and a half hours is a long time.
It’s massive. I just now finished it. Overall i enjoyed it.
Spoilers
The only thing that kinda aggravated me was Pesci calling a visibly older DeNiro "Kid" repeatedly. “This is my Kid.” “This is the Kid I was telling you about” “I’ve got a Kid for that”.
That and when he beat up the store owner was just painful to watch. Looked like he wouldn’t hurt a toddler with the kicks.

That scene is cringeworthy. Why not get a stunt double to do the scene outside the grocery store?

Pesci is really good in this.
All 3 of them were strong. Nice to see Al Pacino in a good movie again.

This lived up to the hype. Incredible movie. You don’t feel the length at all. Pacino stole the show in my opinion

Bout an hour in
1.) they de aging thing is nice but not enough. Hard to keep up with the timelines because they still look old as shite in the older timeline. Pesci especially
2.) that grocery store scene should’ve never made the cut of an already extremely long movie. That was embarrassing scene between the baby kicks doing video game damage and the door exploding glass before they even hit the door
Overall I’m liking it so far

Very good movie but I had my iPhone on Wikipedia the entire time and on many occasions I had to pause the movie to look up the real life characters to get a better understanding. Imho, Pacino absolutely nailed Jimmy Hoffa.

That shite had me rolling. The way he had his hands out to the side like a chick stepping on a bug

1.5 hours in. SO knows the entire story by heart so he has ruined a few spoilers.. but I guess I’m glad because honestly I’d have never picked up on it.
Love mafia movies. Great so far.
Spoiler
A human through a wood chipper is a new yuk for me
