How many will be gay, trans or race/gender swapped before this thing stumbles into being?

Really don't like these over decade old "sequels" - such a money grab with no real potential of anything good and likely only would damage nostalgic memory

Back then.. it's their time , back then.
Right now.. it's retirement time, right now.

I’m sure they are all looking forward to hanging with Corey Feldman again.

Another reboot nobody wants. Or soft reboot I guess I should say. Probably going to be all their kids.

Lose, lose....
Gonna be their kids....So who's the audience?
Generation that grew up with Goonies as a kid won't watch this because they'll be out of the loop, and/or the butt of the joke in a movie about the current generation.
I could see the typical lazy way they play these scenarios. " Current generation scoffs or mocks or dismisses old lives of the 80s kids as boring, stupid, quaint.... A lot of Tech jokes and social media.". See that movie released recently where that daughter travels back to the 80s during her Mom's time and rips everything in the 80s as ignorant, racist, homophobic, clueless Neanderthals.... While trying to text on her iPhone and be too cool for real life adventures. Hard pass on this upcoming dog.

If they want to have their cake and eat it too, they’re going to have to allocate a fair amount of screen time to the adults re-living their childhoods and going on a new adventure away from the obligations of adulthood. Best compromise might be the originals trying to motivate their own kids ro undertake an adventure with them, which kids don’t seem to do anymore. Then you can have generational jokes and conflict back and forth.
