How is it remotely possible you think that’s germane to the point?
Other posters were never any primary concern if mine. It’s the writers , directors and actors who are making things about politics.

Exactly. That’s why you pretend like you don’t see the anti-white man stereotyping and propaganda that this chick is spewing. It don’t mean shite to you, you ain’t white. You agree with her for the same reason.
He can't even admit that John said "axe" instead of ask. That's just weird.
There's obviously some threshold where it's ok to talk about political messaging in entertainment, because damn near everybody called E3 total crap. Other times you mention it and we get "Leave Lanterns alone!!!!!"
The gatekeepers will let you know, I guess.

I kinda gave you shite for it the other day, but the writer actually said that light-skinned black man equals more palatable to whitey. A dubious premise and a strange lens of colorism to look through. As for the "aks" thing, it seemed out of place to me, like the word was emphasized during the scene for whatever reason. It's a question for the writer.

Episode three was a landfill fire and the more the writer talks, you see what her perspective is. White men of a certain age are racists, white people only like light-skins, white people need to step aside for people of color, etc., etc. Her views are everywhere in the show, and that's by design. Denying that seems odd, especially when she sat her fat arse on a sofa and told us about it.

“Aks” and the rap nonsense was put in to balance out his light skin tone. She talks about this in the interview. They would have to figure out how to find a balance to make him “black” enough to counter his skin tone. These people are disgusting.

I'm not here for that.

No I know. They will ruin a thread in a heartbeat that's for sure.

Deflect and make baseless, ad hominem attacks. A liars white flag

Better than ruining an entire show by hamfistedly stuffing your DEI worldview into every nook and cranny of a story you didn't create.

It's not every nook and cranny and you know that. The DEI episode was bad, very bad. Everyone knows that. But the show has rebounded solid and some fat black chick going on a podcast about her personal opinion of Hal Jordan do not matter to me at all seeing as that's not who is displayed on the screen.
Black lady in a podcast: Hal is a little bit racist.
Actual TV show: Hal is clearly not racist.
Not sure why I would care if she thinks he's racist when the other writers that are doing the majority of the show don't and it's not playing out on screen.
This wouldn't be the first show in history to have a bad episode and still have a good season overall. It's an ok show and apparently good enough to be appointment television for everybody on here. They might botch the ending and the show just be meh, but if they have a good finale then overall the seasonwill have been ok.

Unlike you, I'm not inclined to give this fat, racist bitch a pass just because I think the show has some entertainment value.

Yea nothing I've ever said about that episode or her since it's aired is giving her a pass.

Never said it was. I've talked about what I like and dislike about the show throughout this thread. You really didn't like that he said axe, I don't really care. Those are minor things imo, episode three was a big thing.

You're taking a 2 second clip & comparing them it an entire episode and calling it minor. Everything is minor in small enough slices. A gun with an endless magazine is minor, but add in a constant drip of other tropes (bad guys that can't hit anything, good guys that can't miss, indestructible characters) and it adds up to people rolling their eyes.
Just because they vomited the biggest pile of it in E3 doesn't mean it's not scattered throughout the rest of the show. It's ok to criticize that; it detracts from the show.

I more inclined to think it's Pierre's dialog coach than a writer.

You think Aaron Pierre is trying to say "ask" and just can't get it right, even with a dialogue coach?

I agree. There just haven't been THAT many of those moments. Not enough to consider them in every nook and cranny. And like a person watching a show have a gun with an endless magazine, it doesn't bother some people. Like the example I gave about me and you with "axe." I can see why that would bother you, but apparently it's impossible to see that it isn't that big of a deal to some.

It is. Literally never said it wasn't. just said it's not everywhere. Hell in episode one we had people bitching because Hal mentioned Obama and how they had to throw that in there when it was a joke basically making fun of Obama. This board is easily offended.

They say why in the interview but don’t trust your lying eyes and ears, trust the shills who only defend the show because of the things they’re telling you aren’t there. These people are mentally twisted to a grotesque degree.
