I’ve never really got into any of his movies in the past, but this looks like it has potential. I was surprised to see him doing something like this. May have to give his previous work another look.

Ritchie did Sherlock Holmes 1&2 which are excellent IMO. He also did Wrath of Man. I’ll give anything of his a go.

first one was pretty good

2nd was fantastic, very gimmicky but it all worked

3rd has supposedly been in the works for over a decade now

I agree that The Covenant looks great, but I love Guy Ritchie movies.

You say you never got into any of his movies. Have you seen Lock/Stock, Snatch, Sherlock Holmes 1&2, The Gentlemen, and The Wrath of Man?

All were good and a few were fantastic.

Like Snatch, Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels, Rocknrolla or The Gentlemen??

Yeah I can understand that. Horrible movies.

Yeah, I’ve liked all of his stuff I have seen.

Now Swept Away is apparently terrible and Revolver as well, but Swept Away is completely different than his usual style.

I do think his best stuff was his first (Lock Stock and Snatch).

I thought this was about that movie from the early 2000s with the high school kids with supernatural powers.

Revolver
definitely wouldn't call it terrible

Wrath of man might be my favorite of his, though. Either that or rocknrolla. Dude makes solid movies

I did like the Sherlock movies. I had forgotten those were his. Snatch, Lock, Stock were more what I was talking about. I didn’t hate them, I just don’t remember really loving them either. It’s been several years since I watched those though.

It’s hard to pick but I think my favorite is The Gentlemen with Snatch close behind. Snatch loses some shine because I’ve seen it 8 billion times but gains some as well for being the first GR film I saw and it was definitely Wow. Plus I had just moved to a new city for school and it really fit the vibe. But TG is just a little more rounded and complex.

I was hoping this was based on the James A Michener book. Oh well.
