There are 6 episodes; roughly one hour each. One season only

The series is from Denmark, I believe, and is nicely dubbed in English

There's a killer on the loose, and the cops are trying to find him

The Chestnut Man: Rotten Tomatoes

Another one of those foreign Netflix shows I love. I just think it's great to see and hear the stories told through the talent from those countries. I just posted about several Polish and one French Netflix murder mysteries. I saw CM but almost forgot about it for all the other shows I've watched. Polish and French shows have gorgeous actresses. I'm starting "The Innocent" tonight (Spanish). Try "The Woods" or "Gone for Good".

The show that tells an alternative reality in Poland following the fall of the iron curtain is also seriously good. I think it’s called 1983. It’s shite it didn’t get a second season. Highly recommend.

Loved that show. He met up with his mom in Los Angeles and then we never got the follow up.

Yea I enjoyed it quite a bit too. Definitely was going for a True Detective season one vibe. Was definitely worth the watch.

Just finished this last night, and yeah it was really good. Another good one is the Finnish series Deadwind - there may be a thread or two on here discussing it.

The only thing I don't like about these shows is they always use the same trope of the tenacious single mother detective who essentially neglects her child because the case is too important. Seriously, this brand new piece of evidence is so distracting you can't even take 30 minutes to have dinner with your 8 year old?

They also have a sense of humor about the genre. "Fallet" is a great spoof on Nordic Noir shows.

We enjoyed. The little chestnut men made us laugh though.

and there were some pretty dumb, unbelievable scenes. But all in all, it was good. Mikkel Følsgaard is damn good. Would like to see him in some American films.

Really good series. I watched all 6 episodes this morning. Definitely has a True Detective feel to it, only with far less mumbling.

Discount Penelope Cruz was great as the lead. I need to see more of her.

It is Good, except for the massive plot hole the geniuses can't figure out which should be obvious. They don't even consider it.

Anybody watch undercover? It popped up on Netflix as recommended for me. It's Belgian I think; has three series.

Check out Equinox on Netflix. She's the lead in that as well.

Just watched this series based on the recommendation from this board and it did not disappoint. An amazing show.

That was excellent and another one I thought was decent was "The Valhalla Murders" based out of Iceland. Like someone already said those Scandinavians do that kind of stuff pretty damn well

I've watched the first two seasons so far. It's good. I especially liked season 1. It builds slowly, but I was hooked by around episode 3. I just finished Ozark and I'm watching Clickbait right now on a friend's recommendation, but I plan on watching the final season of Undercover after that.
