Absolutely brutal. Couldn't imagine running a half-marathon in the desert on sand. That kind of physical exertion for 6 hours is insane.

Cara is dumb for not taking the IV. I wish i had one for hangovers, shite will get you feeling right.

It was funny to me with how long it seemed they were sitting on those logs waiting for TJ. It was sunny when they finished the first leg and then it cut to them still sitting there in the dark.

I wonder if they will actually let them sleep more than an hour or so like some of the older finals did.

It would seem that after what was clearly the most difficult event probably in the show's history, they would give them 5 or 6 hours of sleep at least to recover... I know the contestants sign their lives away on their NDAs, but you would think they have to have some level of liability, you can't have folks dying on you doing navy Seal BUDs type shite.

But then again, if you're dumb enough to refuse an IV, I guess you get what you deserve.

That was a crazy hard final. I can't see them being able to immediately compete after something like that, their bodies will be completely broken down and cramped up even with an IV. Maybe they are kayaking miles and it is all downstream? I can't believe Hunter finished.

Cara "I get letters all the time of people looking up to me" finished one step above Hunter and couldn't even finish because she can't math...

She won a rigged final when the challenge was becoming a joke...at least she has that going for her.

As for the final 4, if I'm Wes and the others, I'm making a pact right there...this is core 4 going forward...we got each other's back going forward and no one will be able to beat us.

And mad props to Wes...dude is probably about 32 or 33 and a fricking real world star and he just ran with and beat a professional agility athlete, a fricking Olympic sprinter, and a fricking psycho, probably ex-soldier Turkish assasin type who won 2 season of survivor and smoked the Olympian. ...that's as legit of s final we will probably ever see.

I still can't believe they made them run miles of dunes then the beach then the kayak AFTER day 1.

I seriously don't think John or CT or many of the others could have finished. I hate ninja and somewhat disliked Theo, but, damn, I will respect them always from now on.

I hope this draws out the Emily Schrom's of the world on the girls side because that female side is still wide open. Ninja is going to tough to beat, but Cara is enormously overrated and Mattie is a chimney and out of shape.

Best season by a mile in recent years. They completely turned the show around in 1 season and just made it to attract lots more badasses and be done with idiots like Devin and Corey, etc, and others who seem to be more interested in camera time than competing.

Maybe this can draw a Landon or others out of retirement as well, or maybe even a Louise to be in a real game now that the game has gotten respectable again. I'd also bet the budget and prize money goes up next season because of the ratings success they've had this year. Congrats...great season. The challenge is back!

The next season allegedly has the following cast so far with a few more waiting to be verified.

Men: Bear, Gus, Jordan, John, Josh, Joss, Kyle, Leroy, Paulie, Theo, Turbo, Wes, Zach, and that Rogan guy who got eliminated Day 1 when they had the race at the Rock Of Gibraltar when Joss smoked everyone.

This is a season where Bananas is at most the 7th strongest male. Jordan, Joss, Wes, Paulie, Theo, and Turbo all need to be ranked ahead of him now. Then I would go with Bananas, Kyle, Zach, and Bear. Josh and Gus are going to be gone early along with Leroy and Rogan, I assume.

I’m curious how far John will go as he has really fallen since Rivals 3. He also has a some real scandals that people are now aware of, and at some point with mediocre finishes and new stars, he will not be worth it for MTV. They already had to edit out his Game of Clones show and had put the show on the shelf for a few months.

The women aren’t as impressive but Laurel is back.

Women: Ashley M, Cara, Davonne, Dee, Faith, Georgia, Kam, Kayleigh, Laurel, Nany, Ninja, Tori, Zahida. I don’t see anyone that can keep up with Laurel and Ninja.

So that’s 27 people. I would guess 3-5 more. No Aneesa, no Brad, and likely no CT. I hope it’s an individual challenge again although I’m cool with them having a male and female champ.

You're leaving out Darrell. I wonder if he'd be tempted to come back to see how he stacks up against these younger guys. He's gotta be in his early 40s now. Turbo is probably early 30s, Theo maybe late 20s.

That was a tough arse final. I kept waiting for the advantage they would give to the females to level the playing field but it never happened. Not saying it is right/wrong but they really need to keep the sexes separated in all challenges
