No frickin way did she have any justification for being mad at Hughie. I don’t love his character but he did absolutely nothing wrong.

Shifter Annie really was a lot more fun than real Annie. When real Annie was bitching at Hughie about how he loved having an Annie without the depression and issues. Ridiculous. “How dare you love a happier version of myself?”

I’m not saying she’s right. I’m saying it’s reasonable to be pissed at him for not knowing it was the real her. That’s a fairly understandable reaction. Especially considering she’s a woman and that’s exactly how they would all react.

Of course Hughie ultimately didn’t do anything intentionally wrong.

the one big question is:

Why the hell would Homelander keep all of the Boys in custody alive? Why wouldn't he just rip them in half and be done with them?

The show has slit its own wrists and is just bleeding out now. Hopefully they can salvage the last season.

I'm sure it was just a way to end the season on a sour note. I'm almost positive Butcher and Annie will break them all out in the first episode of the next season before HL can rip them in half.

I missed it but what happened to her daughter. Did Butcher kill her?

They showed her at the end going to a home.

It’s their lowest rated season yet

Viewers have increased every season. Which of those 2 metrics do you think is more important to them?

We will see if people stick with it after S4.

They went WAY too hard in the paint this season with it. Its been fairly obvious for awhile what they were doing, but people were alright with it for a variety of reasons.

This season they weren't even creative or fun about it, they just went ultra blatant.

Yeah, it all seemed pretty par for the course.

I only just started binging this show a couple of weeks ago and I'm about midway through Season 2... so I haven't been able to read through this thread just yet but damn I had a legit laugh out loud moment when they were going to North Carolina and there was a mural of Homelander with a Confederate flag on the side of a barn. As an SC native myself, I thought "Dammit. That is so accurate. If Homelander were a real person you'd better fricking believe there would be Confederate murals of him."

is it really "woke" if it's a parody?

My bad, wasn’t aware you planned on moving the goal post.

Just finished this and while some parts were entertaining, the overall story has become pure propaganda and I am saying that as a liberal.

Taking a few pot shots at one side while obliterating the other is not balanced. It is the complete opposite of that.

They also just ruined character development and it’s clear they are teetering on How I Met Your Mother territory where they didn’t think it would last more than a couple of seasons and have to try and stretch it out.

Seth Rogen being involved in this should have made it clear from the start what the agenda was and has been. Guy is a POS, but somehow is considered funny. He’s the male version of Amy Schumer.

Now on the story, it just seemed like twists for the sake of twists. Story continues to devolve and then watching the last episode with their utterly false statement claiming no connection to real events was intended and only coincidental was the biggest garbage I have seen in Hollywood. Referencing abortion and then specifically Jan 6 was just coincidental, right?

God Hollywood elites have got to to be some of the most horrible excuses for human beings

It just wasn’t creative or intelligent at all. It was just stupid humor. It has always been risqué beyond any expectations, but the overall writing was great in how it hit on things and then made you laugh. This season was just the lead writer trying to blast his political views out and shows no skill at all.

It’s like they tried to be Sourh Park without 1% of Matt and Trey’s talent.

I think most people are fine with political undertones. They start rolling their eyes when they become overtones. That threshold was crossed somewhere in S3 and became the main focus in S4.

Just finished Season 4 and it seems the writers have taking the Kurt Sutter/Sons of Anarchy style of storytelling. Where you cheered the Boys and hated Homelander. Too now, I want Homelander to kill the Boys especially Starlight and Hughie. Ryan has done more face/heel turns than the Big Show.

Just finished Gen V as well, it was meh. Didn’t know that Polarity’s son died in real life in a motorcycle wreck.

I am rooting for Homelander. The Boys all suck.
