I have a better track record than you do.

And you can't accuse me of not liking it because of perceived wokeness. There really isn't any. It's just not good. Again, he would have been a cool part of The Mandalorian, but spinning it off into its own show was a bad idea.

hile there was no 1st episode cliff-hanger or hook like, say, saving Baby Yoda in Mando's first episode, I think the obvious setup was simply established in the first BoBF teaser: Boba takes over Jabba's crime syndicate.

This episode is exploring how Boba intends to (untraditionally) rule (and what conflicts that may bring), while also filling his past from ROTJ to Mando thru flashbacks.

Agree with this. I thought it was an enjoyable initial installment which set up a few things to look forward to. It wasn't incredible or game-changing, but I'll be tuning in.

Lots of little things were enjoyable, such as Fennec figuring out who was the weaker of the ninjas and therefore most likely to reveal info.

Chapter 2 is fantastic. 48 mins this time.

I think I'm loving the flashbacks even more than crime boss narrative. Exploration into the Tusken Raider/Warrior culture has been fascinating in both BoBF and the Mandolorian.

Lots of good shite: Jabba twins, biker bar, motorcycle training, stagecoach heist, badass Tusken ninja warrior, Tusken staff-smithing.

Different strokes for different folks.

I, for example, rather liked "Hawkeye", it wasn't my favorite show of all time but I thought it was an enjoyable watch. Other people, whose opinion I respect, hated it.

It looks like Fett isn't your cup of tea.

I will say that it looks like Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen are having the time of their life on the show. That adds to the enjoyment factor for me.

Ming-Na Wen's superpower is not aging at all. Seriously, she's almost 60.

I believe you misspelled "raped to death". At least that was the implication I got from AOTC.

If there were not many pictures of her in sunlight I'd swear she's a vampire. That or she goes around lopping off people's heads and declaring "There can be only One!"

I'm not sure about that. Black Krrsantan has a scar over his left eye, and knows Boba Fett well.

Was that the Pyke Syndicate's train?

ETA: That appears to be the consensus elsewhere - the Pyke Syndicate doesn't frick around. Two episodes in and we've seen him forge some strong alliances and also piss off some major players.

Nice to see Camie and Laze from the ANH deleted scene of Luke and Biggs at Tosche Station.

I would not put it past Favreau/Filoni to add that reference, but man, that is a deep cut. Hard to deny it tho cuz the couple in the bar were dressed/looked just like them.

EDIT: Woah, I just checked the credits. It is them. Lists them as Camie & Fixer.

Yep, the credits list the one who spoke as a "Pyke Traveler".

If you don't like The Book then you simply don't like Star Wars IMO.

The number of references and Easter eggs is staggering.

I love the Moses arc Boba is taking.

I can see how some could just see it as fan porn but the amount of clearing up loose threads and bringing continuity to so many storylines seems well past just Easter eggs.
