what is this thought that Grogu will wield the darksaber that people desperately want to happen?

He's definitely going to use Yoda's lightsaber and not the darksaber. His hands are too small.

was so excited to see Bane until i realized he was walking towards Vanth.

I still haven't finished the Clone Wars series because before Disney+ came out I had to watch it sporadically, so I had kinda forgotten about the Cad Bane character. So when they initially show the blue chin under the hat my dumbass was like "OH shite IT'S THRAWN" like why would Thrawn be there?

I don't think he'd wield it, but maybe he'd just try to claim it? I don't know - they could go any number of directions with this, let's get fricking wild.

I just assumed that Darksaber will only work for a Mandalorian since it was a Jedi/Mandalorian that made it.

if Grogu chooses Luke he will totally save Mando down the line in some way.

I think Grogu chooses Luke and ultimately Mando gets some Jedi training. He can't wield the Darksaber until he is able to unlock his mental connections. He won't have to operate by any strict Mandolorian code now that he's fessed up to taking his helmet off. Sets up for the redemption arc of Mando rescuing the last Mandolorians with the Dark Saber and leading the group as is the wielder's destiny.

Book of Boba Fett seems to be a better show without Boba Fett.

The elephant in the room is that Temuera Morrison is a boring actor with about zero charisma. And 61 years old. They never should have brought him back as Boba. Either leave the helmet on like Mando, or cast another actor. Can you imagine if a grizzled Timothy Olyphant was Boba Fett instead of Cobb Vanth? Or Tom Hiddleston? Boba should be someone with a little evil in them. Choosing to stick with George Lucas's Jango Fett casting choice really diminished Boba Fett as a character.

Don’t forget Mof Gideon wielded the darksaber, remember he cut himself out of the Tie fighter with it, battled Mando with it, and lost it to Mando

Would love for an aged Emilia Clarke to show up as the driving force behind the Syndicate
It would be interesting, for sure.

And as 'aging her'- consider that for a moment. She's human, she's gone from 20, to what, 45? Now consider- she ain't living in a hut on Tatooine, she has tons of money and resources (including Spice, whatever that is in Star Wars), and SW tech is way more advanced than ours. If you can fly from one edge of the galaxy to the other in hours, if you can sit in a bathtub and heal fatal injuries overnight, then a pretty 40 yr old with funding can still look like a 21 yr old if she wants.

I mean, Ming Na Wen is close to 60 in real life. It's not like women HAVE to become wrinkled fat grannies.

OK, fine. Don't age her, and just keep the perky supple early-30's tits. No complaints from me.

Cad Bane. He's a badass bounty hunter. He has gone toe to toe with Jedi in the past, he is a smart tactician and excellent improvisor. He uses a flamethrower and pistols, he has jet pack boots.

Mando is everything Boba Fett should’ve been. It’s kinda awkward to me when they’re together because Boba Fett is the bigger name with incredible lore to back him up but has turned into such a boring character. Maybe because his storyline should’ve ended and everything they’ve added to it doesn’t really move the needle.

They’ve hit it out of the park with Mando

exactly this. It's like Filoni took his fan fiction of Boba and created a new character. then when they brought Boba back, there was nothing left for them to do with him.

He honestly shouldve stayed "dead" if this is what we get now. Completely derailed his mythos.

Mando was created because when Mandalorian was being created KK would not allow them to use legacy characters. She wanted all new characters and promote the sequel trilogy. So those sly bastards basically created Boba Fett by another name. Now poor Boba cannot be a copy of Mando, they are trying to find a path for that character.

Maybe I'm misremembering but I recall this board losing its mind when Boba showed up and beat the shite out of those Stormtroopers.

Raise your hand if you think that in next week's finale, when the chips are down, Sheriff Cobb and his townsfolk are going to ride in like the cavalry.
