That's because chick is a true mechanic, and she built Mando something.

That's not a stock starfighter. You know how people took stock Miata's, and are dropping in Ford 5L V8's in them? That's what this is. That's why Mando was able to just dust the X-Wings the way he did.

How is mando supposed to bring in bounties with no cargo space?

Droid area... which, I was thinking how hilarious it would be to see grogu in there with mando flying

The visuals shite on any non-Star Wars sci fi tv, and lots of movies too.

It has a lot to do with the StageCraft/The Volume technology.

Loved the throwbacks…Naboo starfighter, Beggar’s Canyon, BD unit from Jedi: Fallen Order.

Anybody else catch the Mandalorian armorer talking about their group survived the great purge because they were on Concordia. Does that mean Din’s crew is Death Watch?

No. If that were the case, Pre Vizla would have never taken off his helmet in Clone Wars or Rebels.

This episode made the previous four look like fan films.

If that's the immersive soundstage, yes... and no.

That's wonderful for live acting with people. But the other visuals, such as the ships in flight, are simply at a much higher level than anything else we're seeing. Mando flying the starfighter was gorgeous.

Yea but that means he can only do 1 bounty at a time. Remember in S1 he had several bounties in carbonite on the RC. Would be cool to see Grogu in that droid cockpit.

I personally think Din Djarin is a far more compelling character. This episode just reinforced to me how much more invested I have now become in Din Djarin than I am in Boba Fett. I mean I haven't hated Book of Boba Fett, but this just reminded me how much more interesting The Mandalorian has been for me personally

Couldn’t agree more and what’s even more exciting is that they have so much more to explore with his character now that he has the darksaber.

I’d give my left nut if they’d just keep Bryce Dallas Howard, Filoni and Favreau in charge of everything Star Wars from now on. They just GET Star Wars unlike anyone else other than the fans. Not only are they talented writers and directors but they truly know Star Wars in a way JJ and Rian and Kathleen Kennedy WISH they knew.

Howard has directed three of the better Mando episodes.

I was expecting the armorer to tell Mando that since he was excommunicated, he would need to leave behind his armor and helmet. The armorer is an interesting character and I enjoy her scenes.

Din Djarin Is Boba Fett. When Mando was made they could not use BF because KK was in power and did not want focus on original characters. They made Din everything an 80’s kid imagined BF would be and more. That is why Boba is a less compelling character now.

I would add, as of now, Rick Famuyiwa and Deborah Chow to that list as directors. Both did excellent work on The Mandalorian and Chow's Obi-Wan series is (finally) coming out sometime this year. Though I couldn't blame Chow if she refused to have anything to do with Lucasfilm after the series is over.

I mean during the production of the first season of Mandalorian she gets the nod to do Obi-Wan. They approve the scripts in August of that year, months before Mando comes out, she's already well into pre-production while Mando debuts. So far, so good right? The intent is obviously to use Chow's exceptional planning ability to get Obi-Wan out quickly to capitalize on Mando-mania.

Then the higher up at Lucasfilm decide they don't like the scripts after all. Chow gets to cool her heels for a year and a half, in the prime of her career, waiting for things to move forward.

I really like Chow as a director but giving Kathleen Kennedy and Company that long to try and "improve" something strikes me as a recipe for disaster. I mean this only in the nicest way possible, but those folks couldn't pour piss out of a boot if the instructions were written on the heel.

I wish they would turn down the campiness of her character just a bit.

Mando is slowly taking over as my new favorite Star Wars character. Beating out Luke is going to be tough but I think it’s happening.

They made a starfighter a muscle car. These people just keep on delivering. We truly are very fortunate to get this level of entertainment. The way he smoked those x wings made me laugh out loud. Papa’s got a new ride.

I would be surprised if it’s been more than 2-3 months at most. Probably 4-6 weeks.
