Really gives me hope for The Last Airbender TV show because he seems like the perfect Uncle Iroh.
What a great episode.

A whole Mando episode. Wow. I’m a very happy person right now. Great episode.

With that ending and the fact that Filoni himself directed the next episode, we are in for a treat next week.

The second he said he wanted to go see grogu to the armorer I knew that was gonna be the cliffhanger

Also I got the feeling that the BD unit was meant to be BD-1 from the Jedi Fallen Order video game. Which could be an Easter Egg for Cal Kestis showing up down the road.
That would be cool if Cameron Monaghan played Cal in live action...but I REALLY want to see a live action version of Merrin.

I don’t even know where to start with that episode. Holy shite. I don’t even care about Boba’s conflict, give me more Mando

Holy shite, what an episode. The Book of Boba was salvaged by Mando himself. I can't wait to see Grogu in tiny beskar chain mail next week. These last two episodes are gonna be fire.

This is the strangest series. It's only a 7(?) episode run, yet 2-3 episodes are devoted almost entirely to back story, and 1 episode doesn't even feature Boba Fett

How about the potential of Luke teaching Din saber forms or a de-aged Harrison Ford as Han?

I don't think Luke will have a cameo, maybe Ashoka or is she still hunting down Thrawn? Either way, I can't wait to see how this show wraps up.

Bo Katan did a good job directing this episode!

So the Mando timeline, pretty much no time has passed since the end of Mando S2 correct?

It’s been a couple/few years. Boba had to fight and take control of the underworld.

I wouldn’t say it’s been a few years. Maybe a year after Mando Season 2 would be my guess. I doubt he would go 2-3 years without a ship. He also still doesn’t look comfortable with the Dark Saber, which makes me think there’s been a time jump but not a big one.
Side note, is the Dark Saber supposed to be that hard to wield? Kind of impressive Mort Gideon put up that much of a fight with Mando considering

The stories are more or less concurrent in roughly 9 BBY. The Stormtrooper heads on spikes in the flashback in Boba E3 lines up with the Gunslinger episode of the Mandalorian in the first season, IIRC E5. So only a short time from the end of Mando S2 to Boba E5.
The end of Mando S2 plus the time to get and execute the Klatoonian bounty equals Boba E5. You would figure he would have started searching for the Covert immediately, replaced his ship ASAP, and started learning about the use of the Dark Saber quickly.

why the down votes?
Probably because Bo Katan is Katee Sackhoff and this was directed by Bryce Dallas Howard

I don't know if that was BD-1. The markings weren't the same. There was no red at all, not even faded. It is likely foreshadowing BD-1 making it's live action debut. And we could see Merrin. There was the comment about the Witches of Dathomir (Nightsisters) riding Rancors.

The younger x-wing pilot played Luke in Mando. They deepfaked Mark Hamill.
Luke may have to give Mando a crash course in Lightsaber/Darksaber techniques when he visits Grogu.
