The Dark Knight is in the stratosphere at #1.

Also, not having Watchmen on the list is criminal.

2nd page in

quote:

10. Thor Ragnarok 9. Logan 8. Endgame 7. Spider-Man (2002) 6. The Avengers 5. The Dark Knight 4. Spider-Man Into the Spiderverse 3. Unbreakable 2. The Incredibles 1. Black Panther

And The Winter Solider isn’t mentioned?

Guardians?

Civil War?

Homecoming is better depiction of Spider-Man mythos than anything Rami did as well.

That's dumb.

The answer is either Infinity War, X2, Spider-Man 2, or, honestly, First Avenger.

Those are superhero films through and through.

It's almost as if they want me to click to that site and comment on how crappy this list is as they serve multiple ad impressions to their clients.

As always the problem with

quote:

5. The Dark Knight

Is it really isn't a superhero movie. You can't remove everything that makes the source material a "superhero" keep the guy in the suit and keep the classification. Calling it the best superhero film at all, really reduces what a superhero is honestly and does an injustice to what the other films actually do - Put a Superhero on screen. That's why Spider-Man 2 is so dang good. It then gets inherent flaws in that kind of structure that the Dark Knight doesn't have to deal with. Yes it's more real, that's precisely why it's less pure superhero than something like The Avengers, which is legitimately a comic on the screen.

Or Infinity War, which is ALL bombast crossover stuff. Again, precisely what cross-overs are meant to be. That means it struggles in other areas, but that's part of the point. You can't make a Dark Knight that is as bonkers as Infinity War in scale and scope. And it isn't fair to put it into the same bucket.

I would say Spider-verse, Spider-Man 2 and Homecoming are all about equal in quality. I give the nod on a list like this to S2 simply because it was first and really had the best pure Peter Parker. While Holland is GREAT as this Peter...he ever so slightly misses the mark on Peter that Raimi and Maguire were able to hit.

I disagree. Tobey was much more feminine than Peter Parker needs to be, Holland nails Peter and Spider-Man on the head.

Black Panther doesn’t suck, but it’s not that great either. I feel it really suffers most from the bad CGI in the big fight at the end. It’s Star Wars Prequels level bad. It has a great villain, excellent cast, cool setting, decent plot (a little unoriginal, but solid), etc, but that CGI fight on the train tracks was so bad it left a poor taste in my mouth.

Because you don't understand basic drama and therefore can't understand how bad arse Tony Stark's sacrifice was at the end of Endgame and how that scene alone is better than anything in Infinity War.

If we're going to use the word badass, Thor's entrance to Wakanda is the most badass thing in the MCU.

Tony's sacrifice is good, but it isn't even as powerful as Tony watching Peter Parker turn to dust.

Endgame was a good solid conclusion. Infinity War blew me away.

This. Endgame did what I wanted it to do. It gave me a fantastic theater experience and provided a satisfying conclusion.

Infinity War is on another level than Endgame though.
