Fact. Andor is in a league of its own compared to the shows. Rogue One may have an argument for top 3 movie depending on how you feel about the Ewoks.

Rogue One is a good movie but insanely bleak and completely misses the tone and spirit that made the OT great. It’s Star Wars for people who have dressed as the Heath Ledger Joker for halloween. Sorry but your mains holding eachother as they accept death is a bleak ending

the first 2 hours of Andor are so fricking boring. and they a 1/6 the total show. Again a good show, but idk how you spend you can spend over an hour watching nothing and pretend it’s far and away better than Mandalorian.

I do enjoy it, but I can't stand Forrrest Whitaker's character. He's awful.

Forbes has been the most critical of Disney of any possible news source that would be considered mainstream. They’re the ones constantly exposing their lies about budgets in the UK being 100m+ over what they say. When the mary sue writes an article like that, then the checks have bounced.

So you’re flip flopping on Rogue 1 which you normally worship and pretending that a show comprised of 75% filler is better than an actual good series with layered characters, real consequences, intelligence and a cohesive, interesting story. Nah I don’t think so

Episode 3 did suck for certain. They could had made some connection to Path of the Open Hand or Path of the Closed Fist or Witches of Dathomir but instead went with "The Convent". Then Jedi show up with no warrsnt and wasn't even Republic Territory apparently and still wanted to test the kids. Just absolutely no background or reference to High Republic. The twin sister isn't consistent, "I want to burn my sister alive, instead I burn the whole convent alive, all the Jedi must pay".

Supposedly Episode 5 is supposed to be a shocker, hopefully it'll be some good shite.

Wrong again Sammy boy. Rogue One is how you properly take an IP and transmute it to an almost completely different style or genre while maintaining the spirit of the IP

Last Jedi and Acolyte are how you hire a hack who wants to “subvert” expectations and makes trash

Rogue one and Andor are the only Star Wars products Disney has made that would be deemed as acceptable pre 2014

Rebels and The Bad Batch are perfectly fine and would have been acceptable pre-2014.

Rebels got hate out of the gate because The Clone Wars was cancelled and the art style was different. Season 1 had some rough baby-step moments but as a whole it is solid. Kanan/Caleb Dune is a great Jedi character.

It’s a good movie.

But again, the ending is bleak AF. It’s dark and gritty to a fault.

That’s kind of the point. They can’t literally just try to remake a new hope over and over again in different ways, not for a lack of attempts or desire. Adapt or die. Change it up but properly.

Not really when you consider their sacrifice leads to the destruction of the Death Star and the eventual fall of the Empire.

You know what Star Wars movie does have a bleak ending? The one where Luke loses a hand and Han is frozen in carbonite.

It’s bleak in the same way V for Vendetta is bleak

No SW fan thinks this.

Andor is far and away the best thing they have done since the 3rd prequel. . .maybe since RotJ

Rogue one is up there, too. the parts of Mando that are good, are really good. The parts that are bad are cringe and/or boring

How many main character DIE at the end? 0. Compared to basically all of them. giant action set piece with the battle on Hoth.

Han Solo goes into carbonate with a witty one liner.

Sure the empire strikes back but the ending is more shocking than dark.

Order 66 and Anakin burning alive in front of Obi Wan aren’t exactly feel good scenes either

Not everything needs to be dark and gritty to be good.

See the Mandalorian.

If we are being honest, A New Hope should feel bleaker. Nobody really cares that Owen and Beru are vaporized and 2 billion innocent people die on Alderaan.

Andor’s kill count is only in the hundreds thanks to the offscreen deaths in prison.
