Is Toy Story the worst movie ever because the Toys are alive and talk to each other?
Hell the entire first movie is about Buzz not believing he is a Toy, yet he freezes every time a human walks in the room? Yet Toy Story is one of the greatest movies ever, because it's fantasy. The rules of reality don't apply to it.

The showrunner can frick off with her culture war too. It's why I avoid all interviews these days, I dont wanna know the opinions of the people that made the show, I just wanna watch the show.
